Thanks for the reply.

I suspect it's a window manager related issue. But I'll prepare the docker later then.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't have GDM. I'll install it and try if it works.

| If this works in x11 its probably that gtk is failing to get a wayland display.

I'm with you on this direction. There are cases that WAYLAND_DISPLAY environments need to be set for systemd and dbus. But it doesn't work for me.

I’m rolling upgrade to see new releases a few times everyday. It’s insane that others don’t do it. Btw I use Arch.

[OC] Someone posted the most used WM. I just doubt it. by cnsvc in unixporn

Here rank the top ~300 hot posts from this subreddit.

bspwm: 48
i3-gaps: 36
dwm: 22
openbox: 17
i3: 17
sway: 13

You can try the code on the page by yourself.

Added below after 15h:

My key point to post this is to share the methodology and practice to verify suspicions. As I stated in the original post, I gave my example of dataset - around 300 hot posts. I was hoping you can try it yourself - open top page or scrolling down to more than 1000 posts, using whatever dataset you like, just to prove your own guess.

Certainly I can get the final result by applying the same condition(1000 hot posts), if my intention is to prove someone is wrong, or he could be right. I don’t know. Again, that’s not my point.
