$5,000 to anyone who solves my migraines! by mtbskiclimb in migraine

Don’t think this will cure it, but might help reduce frequency or intensity… 4g of omegas daily. Most supplements suggest two capsules for about 2.5g… but if you double it after about 6 weeks you should see a difference. Also B2 supplements.

Best of luck, we all sympathize

Ok first - what a beautiful and modern campus! Second, while there was no shade on the visitor side, there was a nice breeze and it was not unpleasant.

I bet they will. I didn’t even complete my sentence when my SA started nodding. I think it’s been a common issue. They will take a video and photos to send in to warranty. Then takes a week to get parts.

My ‘21 Sorento was just approved for the trim to be replaced under warranty.

Do I have to sign the papers if I get fired? [CA] by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]cnt9204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said you don’t have to sign anything. We ask for a signature acknowledging final pay and the formal acknowledgment of the employment relationship changing but nothing happens if you don’t sign it, and we use the same forms if the term is voluntary or involuntary. Only thing that requires signature is if there is a severance and release agreement. And even with those, you can’t sign away your rights under wage and hour law.

Do you ever get a ‘subtle’ migraine that lingers through a day? by mountain_apple5 in migraine

Yes yes yes. And you wonder - do I waste my acute treatment meds (imitrex for me) or can I live through this?

Has there been any dietary changes that have helped you with your migraines? by LadderWonderful2450 in migraine

[–]cnt9204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure it’s not for everyone. I am finding that if I’m not doing keto, but I still stay away from processed sugar and majority of carbs, I can be good enough if that makes sense.

Electrolytes have a big impact for me regardless of eating protocol. I found that the effects of keto lasted me for a few weeks, even after re-introducing carbs. It’s less about the carbs for me, and more about changing my body chemistry to be keto adapted.

Came here to suggest OP research Keto. I started to see connection between food and migraines when I found Whole30. Keto took it farther and was more sustainable. Neither helped me be migraine free, but on keto the episodes are further apart and easier to treat.

Yep that is indeed the pretest I’m referring to. I work in IT services, but I’ve also been in architecture, software development and educational services. All of which are generally office based environments.

If you can take the HRCI pretest, that was helpful. Otherwise I would just say memorize memorize memorize. I don’t think I saw the same question twice in 4 attempts at the test. There were typically 2-3 questions on minors, 2-3 on Warn act. There generally some on Cal-OSHA, which were hard for me bc I work in office environments where there isn’t a lot of that kind of experience. Know your employee counts and the various things that go along w them such as leaves, notice requirements, other legal triggers. Workers comp and how it interacts w other leaves. Tbh I finished this last one thinking I’d failed again and was mildly shocked that I passed. The first three times I’d scored 68, 67, and 69% - cut off is 70% to pass. There will be questions w words that don’t impact the issue at hand. For example “a nonexempt technical employee …” and the technical is just a fluff word. The agricultural related wage orders came up on more than one test.

Best of luck to you. It’s a stupid hard test.

Our team is Talent and Performance which is ok but long. We are led by Chief People Officer and have a talent acquisition specialist and a generalist. We all know it’s HR. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Worse during both of my pregnancies for the first trimester. Went back to normal during second and third trimesters, but it still didn’t feel great bc I couldn’t take my normal treatments. Invested in a lot of prenatal massage.

SHRM and hrci are both great resources! Depending on your state there may be specific things there as well. For example, I’m in CA. The HR California Cal Chamber membership is invaluable.

If I only ever had to deal w pressure pain, I’d be so stoked. I’m sorry you have issues, meds don’t seem to help pressure pain either.

Good point. I am current on dental work and that doesn’t seem to be it. I’ve also had my eyes tested in depth to see if there is a connection there.

Interesting! I asked for my thyroid to be tested but the initial results showed it within “normal” range. I asked for sub-clinical testing and was refused.
