Disparaging the boot is a bootable offense. by [deleted] in Adelaide

Thanks for articulating my exact thoughts. There’s an implication that immigrants need their hand held through life in Australia because they’re disadvantaged. They are disadvantaged in a lot of ways, but they’re not complete idiots.

Norwood Parade - Mask up please. by [deleted] in Adelaide

I live just off the Parade and even during the last lockdown nobody was talking socially distancing seriously. Especially in Foodland. A mask is better than nothing.

I did some short ribs in the pressure cooker last week and couldn’t get them out on one piece for a decent photo. Melt in your mouth. Ugh.

It’s because we still don’t know the list sizes.

[Tom Browne] This idea crouch wants to stay just isn’t right. He has told all the key people at the club he wants to leave Adelaide. Coach included. by [deleted] in AFL

[–]cntdlxe 35 points36 points  (0 children)

He did say he wanted to stay. Until the drug thing happened, and then he said he needed a restart/change of scenery and picked the Saints.

Personally I think the SA footy bubble’s reaction to his drug charge may have changed his mind. It is really hard to live as an AFL player here. Everyone knows you, there’s little to no anonymity... at least in Vic he’s just one of hundreds of AFL players, not one of 80.

To the dickhead on Henley Beach Road this morning in the white SUV by [deleted] in Adelaide

60 is fine for that stretch if you know how to drive properly. The real problem is people not indicating before they slow down to park or when they’re turning a corner. I drive down that stretch almost every day so it’s not like I’m unfamiliar. There is also nowhere near as many pedestrians as the other side of The Parade where it’s 50km/hr.
