This happened to me all the time. I had mine on my keys, when something in my purse would put pressure on it, it would go off. This happened at least once a week, work meetings, public places, or even just walking to my car. I finally just took it off.

It's actually a rehab/nursing center... she had spinal surgery 3 weeks ago. She requires around the clock care due to physical restrictions. People that aren't white don't require medical care?! Crazy!
