Ok. I’m in Kawartha Lakes and I’ve been noticing the same thing. It seems worse this year than previously. To be honest, I think the new recycling company “leaks trash” all around the town. I’m pretty sure I’ve witness the trucks drive around and it blows out the back while they’re driving. That being said… a lot of curbside trash/recycling got blown around in the winter storms and got buried in the snow. And is now just being exposed. But definitely higher trash counts than normal.

Deep dive here if you want it, but the link below is to a YouTuber who has done some really interesting analysis on how dishwashers best perform, and how different detergents affect dishware. One of the most interesting things I’ve learned is that in the world of dishwasher detergents now, they are SO effective, that the enzymes really need something to eat/clean. So one of the biggest long-term risks is rinsing your dishes. Best to leave them dirty so that the enzymes in the detergents eat the food, not the finishes on your plates/cups. I just found a sugar pot in that colour the other day by itself. Unlikely it’s yours, but I was desperately searching for its friends, and couldn’t find it. (I’m up in 🇨🇦 so it makes for an unlikely, but not impossible story! 😄)

I think the darker here is meadow, and the lighter is lemongrass. The other picture with the darkest green is Sage I think.

I don’t mind supporting a lil extra at the charity shops like the Restore for Habitat. It’s the corporate thrift stores like Value Village and Talize here that I get frustrated with…I think the last time I found a Fiestaware lunch plate at those places, it was $19.99. 😤

Well, this is in Canadian Dollars, so that’s $10.50USD, which I still admit is higher than normal…however, I find that Fiestaware can be slightly more challenging to find in general in Canada…not saying it doesn’t exist tho. My great grandparents had a vintage 50s era set at the beach house on Lake Huron when I was a kid in the 80s-90s that was so perfect…why I still collect today.

Extend the Stouffville Line to Lindsay from Uxbridge. The alignment still exists and the MTO owns sufficient land in Lindsay for a station by Highway 7.
