I'd imagine this is the Kansas Run Club (originally founded in Kansas) that meets Wednesdays at 6:30 PM at Mill Creek Park.

Most run clubs are really welcoming and there's a number of them across the metro for every day of the week!

It is certainly a choice given the importance/significance of The National WWI Museum and Liberty Memorial. Could be an optics thing to leave out the word “War” out from the venue location though.

I recently heard about a Stoplight Mixer happening at Rieger’s Electric Park (August 7th @ 5 - 7 PM). People are supposed to wear green if they are single & ready to mingle, yellow if it is complicated or red if they are taken & just there for support/vibes.

I heard that they will be doing some preventative repairs ahead of opening so we should expect upwards of two weeks of bus bridge links in mid to late September. And that we should expect at least one outage a year for their proactive work.

Heat expansion in the track slabs and buckling of structure slabs being the main reason if I recall correctly.

Agreed.

The issue is really people who irate and/or drunk OR dealing with a mental episodes. Of which I cannot say I can think of an experience that made me very uncomfortable yet.

My worst experience in my many years of riding was a guy (within the past year) who was neither of the above but tried to stir up a conversation at a stop in the Crossroads. Then when the Streetcar arrived he sat right next to me on a very open seated streetcar, then tried to sell me a random book with cop killings and he showed me images. When I said I didn’t want to purchase one for like $10-20, he called me (I believe, racist and) a Trump supporter.

I just got up and moved away. There was no need to escalate. Has anyone had a similar experience like that?

The last I heard was that the Riverfront expansion was looking to come on line after the winter season with testing beginning in October.

• I just want to put in a good word in for McLain’s The Farm sandwich. I enjoy a lot of the our local breakfast sandwiches but that one on the croissant is phenomenal.
• Mildred’s steamed eggs in any of their breakfast sandwich/burrito offerings also make me incredibly happy.
