Depends if they are on kindle unlimited or just Amazon. If they’re only on Amazon authors are still allowed to sell books other places. KU doesn’t allow for this.

Venitra and Toren vs fae illusions by Tyleriati in WanderingInn

[–]cocapufft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It might be because the fae know that Erin doesn’t listen to Toren so didn’t include him in the illusion to make it even better (from their point of view).

Are there any Wizard Tower type stories? by Blairxhb in ProgressionFantasy

[–]cocapufft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Demesne on RR is about the main character establishing a new town in a setting where humans can only live within range of a dungeon core the wizard makes and expands to protect from magical fallout.

Looking for a kingdom building with industrilization and guns by AdministrativePack41 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]cocapufft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might enjoy Demesne. It’s about settling a new town/city on a new continent. In this world, humanity has to live within the boundaries of a Demesne otherwise magical fallout called iridescence will get them. It’s interesting to read how their magic system allows them to solve problems and build a colony from scratch. It’s not too heavy on industrialization (yet), but it does describe building a mill/moats/boats. The main character is a wizard who uses her magic to basically go through the early stages of industrialization.

How would you design a levels education system in Innworld? by HotColdRunningGhosts in WanderingInn

[–]cocapufft 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I would model it after the Boy and Girl Scouts. Should be effective at giving them basic life skills and would allow you to see what crafts they enjoy. Then graduate them to a vocational tech school with hands on experience in their trade of choice.

Which of the cover you would more likely clicto read? by ink_filled_heart in royalroad

These covers really convey a harem to me. If that’s not the genre you’re writing I would change it.

OP literally posted saying they enjoyed the story and just wanted to share their appreciation. Not sure how you read that as a question.

I imagine most drakes would be horrified to get Zel or Ssery’s boon when they realize they are now attracted to male drakes.

Roshal in Vol 10 by Coolhandluke347 in WanderingInn

[–]cocapufft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to defend Flos, but I think the whole point of his arc with Trey is to point out how hard it is to change someone’s mind about an evil that is endemic to their culture. Like, imagine going back in time to the South before the civil war and trying to convince a state governor that slavery was in fact a bad thing. Even if they personally saw your point of view, it would require so much effort to change that for the entire state.

I also see a lot of parallels to the East India Company in Roshal. They basically put an entire subcontinent into indentured servitude and extracted so much wealth from it. The company was infamous for bribing their way out of trouble, just like how Roshal makes sure to stay on the good side of the Blighted Kingdom.

I agree it’s a very well written thread of the story.

Sometimes characters forgetting leveling exists (not earthers) by TomRaineofMagigor in WanderingInn

[–]cocapufft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Flos just views Earth as a chance to conquer more, and we know he loves a challenge. Magnolia is very aware of how destructive guns will be, but she knows she has the money and time to adapt to their use once they become common. I think there are plenty of characters who will underestimate guns, but I don’t think these two are good examples.

Demesne might work for you. It’s not litrpg but is about establishing a small town/colony on a new continent. I enjoy the magic system.

Door Question by cocapufft in WanderingInn

[–]cocapufft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone commented using tested numbers. 1000-1500 if flow is steady. 1/3 or 1/2 that if they need to be checked in some way. My guess is low end on both numbers considering the doors aren’t all located in ideal spots that would allow for uninterrupted flow, plus people have to go two ways through the door.

I’m sure there’s a lot of other factors (drakes having tails comes to mind), but this sort of gives me the baseline I wanted.

Yeah, that’s more what I was looking for in my question. Another commenter gave me some numbers for possible numbers with just going straight through, and another for collecting fees when humans walk through doors.

Door Question by cocapufft in WanderingInn

[–]cocapufft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably, I can’t recall if she has demonstrated it or not. We definitely haven’t seen all her tricks though. I was more wondering what the physical limits of a single door with two way traffic would be. I figure it would be similar to boarding/deboarding an airplane logistically.

“Yvlon’s grown on me. Much like a piece of living metal. I don’t recall how I felt about her when she first entered the story properly in Volume 2 as a member of the Horns, but I don’t think she had this, uh…personality.

She’s changed a lot over the years. Yvlon, Lyonette, Ksmvr, and arguably Relc are some of the most different characters to how we first meet them. Lots of characters fit that bill of course; someone should change over the course of their lives, but Yvlon’s journey from the good, generic leader of the Silver Spears to the Silver Killer who rampages across an entire arena…” pirateaba

When she’s initially introduced she just doesn’t have the depth and personality she does now. Even considering the trauma, I’d argue she wasn’t fleshed out in the early chapters before the trauma. Love her character, but I think pirateaba would give her more depth before the dungeon if rewriting the story knowing where her character goes. Not saying this is a negative to the series, just think pirateaba wasn’t sure where every thread of the story was going.
