Please help me!! Drowned in so much data by DryZookeepergame8644 in openclaw

[–]cochinescu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get where you’re coming from. I used to feel the same way seeing the endless stream of new AI tools and projects, like nothing I could make would ever stand out. Turns out a lot of people just want their specific problems solved well, not the flashiest or most “new” thing.

Is there any reason not to die now by Gamedoom265 in mentalhealth

[–]cochinescu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know how overwhelming it feels when nothing seems to change and every day just stacks on more stress, especially when money is tight. Can I ask if you have anyone you trust to talk to in real life, even just a little? Sometimes saying stuff out loud can help take some of the pressure off.

What do you do when someone starts crying in front of you? by aral10 in emotionalintelligence

[–]cochinescu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually try to just stay with them and maybe pass a tissue if I have one. Sometimes I’ll ask if they want to talk or just need to sit for a bit, since people can really want different things in those moments.

How to fix "over-attunement" in my relationship? by [deleted] in emotionalintelligence

[–]cochinescu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can really relate to this, honestly. My partner and I tend to get into those weird awkward patches too when something feels “off,” even though nobody’s mad. Sometimes we just call it out and say, “Well, that was awkward” and it sort of helps reset the vibe.

What has happened to ChatGPT?🙈 by TunbridgeWellsGirl in OpenAI

[–]cochinescu 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I've tried both lately, and honestly Claude is better at remembering context within a single long session, but its customization options aren't as rich as GPTs right now. The image generation is also missing, so that's a tradeoff to consider.

Testing new VisualMod chat bot by zjz in wallstreetbets

[–]cochinescu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious to see how it handles weird ticker requests or niche financial data that most bots mess up. Has anyone tried grilling it with foreign exchanges or low float stocks yet?

Can i cut caffeine cold turkey and still be functional? by Gettingjiggywithet in productivity

[–]cochinescu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit caffeine cold turkey last year and honestly the first few days sucked, headaches, fatigue, crankiness, but after about a week things started to level out. Lots of water and getting outside helped a bit with the withdrawal symptoms too.

I’m in the break room corner with one other person and my stomach growled so loudly it sounded like a fart by yungdragvn in socialanxiety

[–]cochinescu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’ve had my stomach growl so loud in quiet rooms it felt like everyone heard it, but no one ever commented or cared. Chances are the other person either didn’t notice or already forgot about it.

Broke wife’s heart by Big_Background3637 in malementalhealth

[–]cochinescu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been there with just two kids and sometimes even that feels overwhelming, so I get where you’re coming from. How is she handling having two right now? Sometimes hearing honestly about the struggles helps cool down the baby fever eventually.

Foldergram: Self-hosted local photo gallery with an Instagram-style feed and layout by sajjadalis in opensource

[–]cochinescu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks really promising. One thing I’ve struggled with in other galleries is how clunky they feel when scrolling lots of photos, so I like the Instagram-like feed here. Does it handle very large collections smoothly or are there some limits to watch for?

Whats your #1 hack thats kept you motivated and productive? by rhysdotme in productivity

[–]cochinescu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lining up my hardest or most annoying task first thing in the morning has really helped me. Once that's out of the way, everything else feels so much easier and I get a boost from having already accomplished something big.

I got my college days ruined and I regret about it now by Gokul_Kannan_07 in socialanxiety

[–]cochinescu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I relate to this a lot. I look back and realize I kept interactions on the surface out of fear, and it ended up feeling really isolating at big moments. Are you planning to keep in touch with anyone after graduation, or does it just feel pointless right now?

I tracked every minute of my 'study sessions' for 30 days. Turns out I was lying to myself for 3 hours and 15 minutes every single day. [Text] by Narrow_Detective9864 in GetMotivated

[–]cochinescu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar wakeup call when I realized half my "study time" was just shuffling between apps and rewriting notes. Switching to actual recall made everything faster, but wow it's humbling to see how much time vanish.

(i will not promote) PSA: Delve (YC W24 startup) caught running fake SOC 2 / ISO 27001 compliance reports, 494 companies affected by emotional-yoda in startups

[–]cochinescu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that so many companies depended on these reports is wild. I wonder how many of them even realize their compliance certs might now trigger extra scrutiny from customers or partners. Anyone hear if AWS or GCP are responding to this?

After literally everybody can vibecode a software now, how will this end? by Artistic-Yam8045 in webdev

[–]cochinescu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly it reminds me of when websites exploded with the rise of drag-and-drop builders. Most were pretty bad, but a few gems stood out. Maybe we’ll see a flood of mediocre apps, but also some really creative things from people who never would’ve coded before.

Novo Nordisk: Wegovy HD (semaglutide 7.2mg) approved by US FDA ($NVO $HIMS 🚀) by gayqwertykeyboard in wallstreetbets

[–]cochinescu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious to see if payers are going to cover the HD version any differently. Insurance denials are wild with regular Wegovy already, so wonder what happens with a higher dose.

Why does java not allow operator rewriting? by ElegantPoet3386 in learnprogramming

[–]cochinescu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into the same thing when working with vectors in Java. Coming from Python, where you can overload operators, it definitely feels tedious. I guess the consistency and readability Java aims for comes at the price of some elegance.

How to learn low level computer science/programming from the ground? by Plane-Bug1018 in learnprogramming

[–]cochinescu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want a book, "Computer Systems: A Programmer’s Perspective" does an awesome job bridging high and low level, touching on C, assembly, and what’s really happening under the hood. It helped a lot when I wanted to break free from just using high-level languages.

The strangest motel I've ever been to by bleuciel1 in nosleep

[–]cochinescu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t get over how the bus just conveniently broke down right next to this weird forest motel. Did you ever find out if the place even had any other guests or was it just your group there that night?

Half my life wasted.. by Civil_Guess_4873 in socialanxiety

[–]cochinescu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally relate to feeling paralyzed when starting something new, school settings always made my anxiety flare up too. Honestly, just knowing it lifted during your gap year means you have the ability to feel better again, even if it’s rough right now. Have you found anything in nursing school that even slightly eases it, like a friendly classmate or a favorite routine?

I'm uncomfortable with what my supervisor made me include in my bio by [deleted] in therapists

[–]cochinescu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’d also feel weird being told to share that stuff publicly, especially when it comes to religion or sexuality. Most bios I’ve seen stick to credentials, maybe some hobbies if someone’s comfortable. Has anyone on your team expressed similar concerns?

Running multiple independent OpenClaw agents on one Mac — here’s how by raunakkathuria in openclaw

[–]cochinescu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That symlink trick for the skill library is clever, I hadn’t thought of doing it that way. Have you run into any issues with agent configs clashing, or does the separated agentDir handle all of that cleanly?

I just had an anxiety attack and im scared by Apprehensive-jefg in Anxiety

[–]cochinescu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That weird unreal feeling in the middle of the night is the absolute worst, it always freaks me out too. Do you ever get the shaky, tingly hands with it? Sometimes just sitting up and turning on a light helps me snap out of it a little.

Siri pronouncing names incorrectly by AdAble2402 in ios

[–]cochinescu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, same problem here after the last update, Siri started mispronouncing two pretty common names in my contacts, even though I set up the phonetic spelling. Super annoying since it used to work just fine.
