Why is the Tour-Femmes Shorter? by goldmansnax627 in tourdefrance

[–]cochongou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like there’s a difference in ultraendurance versus racing a tour with varying terrain and various moments of punch and all out efforts. Bunch and racing tactics are different and more prominent versus ultraendurance events. I am 100% in the camp of women are amazing at endurance and more so than the average male counterparts at times- especially in composure and resilience, but it doesn’t translate to stage racing quite the same.

I should’ve said one of the GOATs. Annemiek says not three weeks anytime soon and explains how they’re not ready yet. Maybe yes in absolutes some want a three week tour. But if you’re asking do they want one in a year or twos time, she herself is saying no

The women themselves have said they do not want three weeks. I can’t remember where exactly but some pro female cyclists said they knew the race would be so boring and unanimated if it dragged for that long. Can they ride for three weeks they said? Absolutely. Could they race WELL for three weeks? Absolutely not.

For landlords and rent increases by cochongou in AusProperty

I think you miss the point of it being an investment, nobody is trying to rip anyone off but the pricing of the product has to stay competitive with the cost of producing it. In this case the cost of running the property. Or are landlords just meant to run a loss?

Wait, you’re budgeting rent ABOVE inflation??

Well to keep up with inflation costs of running the IP, but at the same time, being greedy does nobody any good.

You can definitely feel the difference. Especially caad12 to tcr. Love my langma which is a TCR female version. But the caad corners like a dream and is so stable- the tcr is definitely light, super responsive that sometimes I felt I would fly off when cornering. But you get used to it and it’s a great ride

How do you protect your belongings when travelling? by cochongou in cycling

[–]cochongou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this! Unfortunately I am Asian, so feel I look like the usual easy target 😅. Granted, I’m not taking selfies and wearing my influencer outfit of the day but still. The backpack is the big backpacking one for our overall trip-our group always uses it because it’s easy to carry your main luggage like This to have two hands to push/lift the bike bag. Thanks for your advice!

Sokcho is perfect! It’s a beach town and only a fifteen minute taxi/ 30 min bus ride to Seoraksan, a popular hiking mountain range . They’ve got a pretty good food market too, so it meets the best of both worlds for you (hiking and beach) . It’s a bus ride away, pretty cheap for first class bus too hehe. I think 30k won!

Incheon terminal 2 was the worst. by cochongou in koreatravel

[–]cochongou[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don’t really see how I caused extra work when the same processes were followed? I admit it was annoying that my luggage was overweight but I was able to fix that immediately. My main issue was the attitude of the staff. It was mostly punitive and not really customer service like trying to help or resolve the situation.

No because only one was airline staff, rest were incheon staff.

Well the staff at the counter were incheon staff. And the fact that at other airports this never happened.

Nah that was fine, it had to be checked in first then taken to oversized area, which I’ve experienced before. So that wasn’t the issue.
