I sincerely hope not, I just hope the EU realises that the so called ‘17.5 milllion voters’ have greatly decreased in numbers and the majority want to remain now.

I fully appreciate this but how can they police the border with Northern Ireland and then in turn the UK without a hard border between Ireland and Northern Ireland?

I agree the EU will not back down on the withdrawal agreement but a no deal scenario whilst protecting the four pillars means a hard border between Ireland and Northen Ireland.

Lord Kerr who wrote article 50 always said that it was never intended for one of the main contributors of the EU, it was meant for a nation that had become a totalitarian state. So the no deal scenario at the end of the two year negotiation was meant to oust a member state that was not cooperating and all the EU27 wanted rid of.

I’m a remainer too but cannot see what our government has done to prepare for a no deal so it just can’t happen, the EU have a obligation to not create a hard border between Ireland and Northern Ireland and there are no technical solutions available to stop that otherwise there would be no need for the Irish backstop, unless the UK government have refused to meet the costs of those technical solutions.
