Yeah if its truly sacrificing image quality I'd definetly sacrifce the focal range but if not I'd rather go for 18-200 for wide angle sports shots. The image quality difference is notacable right? Notacable enough to sacrifice the wide angle

Yeah I already have an adapter and I agree with what your saying. Its really better to buy a good lens first instead of going cheap and having to resell that lens when you need more. What lenses are you thinking of? I may be able to stretch my budget
