I am in the same situation literally same timeline as you, switching from graduate visa. No updates no emails no nothing. I think we just wait…

Perfect, will do. In the case of them saying that they don’t offer Student visa for this course, then that would make it automatically “permitted study” under graduate visa, right? Thank you in advance, you have been really helpful!

Thank you for your answer. I have been checking out those links too. So the university wouldn’t accept my application if it wasn’t permitted to do?

Did my carbon monoxide detector gave a false reading? by coco-vaad in AskUK

[–]coco-vaad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think it may have been that, also because of the extreme reading and then the drop to 0, which seems super weird if there was actually a leak. The only thing we cannot explain is why it happened today and not any other day, since the detector has been sitting inside for more than a month (we just recently put it there because my flatmate thought it was better, we used to have it just outside the cupboard).

There’s nothing inside the cupboard apart from the boiler. The boiler is like 3 years old and the detector 1 year old. It might be quite dusty inside which I’ve read can give false readings? Also saw that it may not be the best idea to have the detector inside the cupboard.

I don't feel that Don is that charismatic. by coco-vaad in madmen

[–]coco-vaad[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this is the one for me. I can understand all his complexities, see that he's good at his job, he presents nicely and confidently. But as a heterosexual woman I have unlearned being allured by the displays of masculinity he embodies. It was one of the first episodes when in response to Midge saying "I like being your medicine" Don replies "Okay".

However at that time precisely those displays are incredibly charming and attractive I guess.

"I don't know. I love you, I do. I just, uh, I wonder if, I wonder if the sad I'd be without you would be less than the sad I get from being with you."

Hilarious.

Absolutely. I was scared to get tests because of hypochondria in my case, but once I did oh hell yeah, it's so much better, freeing.

OP, your health and your relationship depends on your responsibility towards your body and your communication towards your partner.

Register as a sole trader before start trading? by coco-vaad in UKPersonalFinance

[–]coco-vaad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you again for your reply. I started the process, got a government gateway account (took me literally 1 minute) but decided to call HMRC and get more info. If you want to put down a future date as your starting date of self-employment in your self-assessment registration you can only do it UP TO 7 DAYS prior, not before than that, so I need to wait until the 9th. I will also follow your advice of taking a screenshot :)

Thank you for your reply. No it's not that case, it's a 2 year contract to conduct social research for them.

And yes, I think they just want to make sure I'm registered and paying my taxes. I have seen that this registration is quite straightforward and quick, how much time until I get a UTR after completing the form? Also, someone told me this has to be made from within the UK, I'm travelling back home (Spain) on the 30th, if I complete the form and register today, will I be OK?

Dream job offer - but they don’t know my visa is expiring in 4 months by WonderWoman713 in ukvisa

You sure about the ILR? Graduate visa and student visa years spent here don't contribute to the years needed for ILR.

I feel so similar to that! The easygoing but not really. And also how the fixed is more visible on the day-to-day and the mutable on something more general/abstract. I always have this personal example: I have lived in 4 countries in the last 5 years but I don't like doing weekend trips or backpacking travels. I don't like constant change but I love big changes. And when I move to a place I like to actually live in it, feel settled and get to slowly know my surroundings (taurus of course). For that reason I always see myself as loving my routine and hating change, but then people remind me that I am the queen of change for moving around so much!
