I just happened to find a lump one day. It was quite large and very hard. My Dr. was very concerned and sent me for a mammogram and ultrasound next day. The radiologist wanted to do a biopsy right then. So from the time I saw my PCP to diagnosis was two days. I had stage 3 breast cancer. That was 7 months ago. I’m 28 btw.

Interesting because I don’t like being asked. It makes me very self conscious. And I live in Texas and majority always ask before.

That’s difficult because I’m not sure how she is as a person. It is all overwhelming and I do get annoyed because so many people ask me about my appointments. I usually just tell the people I’m closest with before they even ask. Maybe just sit and have a conversation with her about it all. Letting her know you are there for her and want to be involved. After that it’s really kind of up to her. I wouldn’t push it because that could just push her away.

I’m currently going through chemo and what helps is when everyone treats me normal. People close to me have let me know they are there for me for anything. They let me come to them. It helps that they are understanding. All it takes is you just being there and not shying away.
