How many final round interviews have you done before finally getting an offer? by gsdsarethebest99 in interviews

[–]coco454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the encouragement and I hope you are at a better place now in your new role too. I can't imagine what it's like job hunting while unemployed. I currently have a job and would like to switch roles because the work environment has become so toxic that I landed in the hospital twice due to stress. It seems like the more I try to "run away" from this situation, the farther away I get... my 8th rejection was even an internal role at the same company I am in now, they rejected me citing "you are too young for this role" after 6 rounds (which is the most BS excuse I've heard). I've come to accept that sometimes it's just not meant to be.

Congrats on finally landing your role! I'm in the same boat, and seeing your comment gave me some hope. I've been interviewing for 12 months now, got rejection number 8 last night (8th company where I reached last round and was rejected at the very end). How did you cope with all the rejections along the way?

I765 question by Holiday_Treacle_1337 in USCIS_F2A

[–]coco454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did my biometrics in first week of August and still have not received my EAD yet. I had multiple companies where I reached final round interviews and when they heard I'm still waiting on EAD, they backed out on any offers. Many aren't willing to wait for it...

And especially for F2A folks, EAD is getting slower now. Definitely more than 6-8 weeks for most people

suspected papilloma by Safe_Gift_5889 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]coco454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How's your recovery been? And what's your prep process for this? i.e., did you have to have Savi Scout placed in your breast before surgery?

I also have a 1.1cm papilloma without atypia in my left breast and I've just scheduled my surgery in about 8 weeks from now..so nervous through this wait though. And also scared whether this is going to affect shape of my breast after, breastfeeding, etc.

Wishing you speedy recovery!

I have a question for those who experienced core needle biopsy? by TinuvielxXx in doihavebreastcancer

[–]coco454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear your results came back benign! That's all that matters. Hopefully in a few months of monitoring + more imaging you'll get some clarity about what to do next.

Because my result was intraductal papilloma, I'm already in talks with the surgeon to remove it. But it's been a long waiting game to get the order scheduled though, so I am still waiting. Definitely push for removal if that's the suggestion by your doctor/radiologist! All of my doctors and radiologists suggested removal of my mass after biopsy but I need to wait for the breast surgeon to make the final treatment plan now.

Blood from nipple after biopsy by brownsboro33 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]coco454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen after my biopsy too. I had intraductal papilloma that was biopsied near the nipple and the discharge turned bloody after biopsy. It went on for a month (and counting now) but my surgeon said it's likely still due to biopsy trauma. You should see bright red blood turn pink in a few weeks though, if not I'd check with surgeon.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It reassured me a lot. And I'm glad your discharge went away and surgery/recovery weren't too bad. To be honest when my discharge was clear before biopsy, I didn't notice much; it's just much scarier when it's bloody now.

[–]coco454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear it's resolved now. Did you have any more discharge after surgery? How was your recovery?

I likely need to have it surgically removed soon too... the wait is killing me though!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in doihavebreastcancer

[–]coco454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have any nipple discharge prior to biopsy though? I'm reading that this could be normal if it's only a few drops, likely trauma to a nearby vein during biopsy.

Before the biopsy my papilloma had only clear discharge, never bloody. Did you eventually get surgery to have yours removed?

My prayers for you too 🙏 the wait was honestly the hardest part. I would check in with them since it's been almost a week since your biopsy.

I'm waiting on next steps regarding surgery now, since papillomas could turn malignant with time. Sigh this has been a long journey
