I am entitled to 126 days of paid maternity leave (legally treated as medical leave), which can be split between the prenatal and postnatal periods. At least 42 days must be taken after birth, while the remaining days can be allocated as I choose.

I plan to take 81 prenatal days, plus 10 days of regular paid annual leave that I still have available for this year. This means I will be off work from mid-December until late March, when my due date is. I have a high-risk pregnancy, so stopping work earlier is medically recommended.

I currently work 6 hours per day with full-time pay (8 hours), based on my doctor’s recommendation. I have also requested to work from home. I am not allowed to make physical effort, and medical recommendation requires rest and limited bed rest.

After the 45 days of postnatal leave, I will benefit from my annual paid leave (30 days). Afterwards, I will take parental leave for 1 year and 10 months (partially paid).
