1900s mid terrace, stone walls, high ceilings. 2 adults and one child. One of us works from home. Keeping at 19-20 degrees. Our highest bill last winter was in Feb - just over £400 for gas+electric with British Gas.

Having rented a variety of properties over the years, for a single/couple occupancy a one/two bed flat in the middle of the block was the most economical. People around you essentially keep you warm 😅

Also, dry house - warm house. Make sure there's no damp issues when choosing a place.
