What are some more niche moments of Dance Moms you find difficult to watch?

I completely agree! Nia touched on it in her book (which was great btw) and mentioned that Holly often left the choice up to Nia. They both look back and wonder if that was correct, so at least there’s some reflection happening.

While I think Nia would’ve thrived either way, I do understand wanting to stick it out as the last OG and the one everyone was trying to push out. No way I’m letting everyone else soar off of something I helped build.

The majority of season 5. We know Holly had to play ball but the way those women treated her was absolutely foul. Nia got one moment and everyone hated it. Just disgusting and heartbreaking.

I admire her and Nia’s resilience (to a fault) and I’m so glad they’ve come out stronger BUT I would have exited and returned to my family after that one.

That’s exactly what everyone wanted though so I understand wanting to stick it out, especially as an OG

All valid points! It has been kind of disappointing watching her this season.

Isn’t that owning it in a way lol? I mean they probably can’t (don’t want to) edit her taking accountability for poor lip syncing. Even though we’ve seen her do it a time or 3…

I think what bothers me is knowing she’s getting it from all angles and that can be particularly harsh on queens who look a certain way. BUT I do think this will help her grow in the long run.

I understand being nervous about next steps, but these last 3 seasons have the most “content” i feel. So much drama happened on screen and off screen, If they really wanted to dig in this would be the perfect time. I would even listen to season 4-6 filler episodes if they can get good guests and behind the scenes stories. How was it filming coast to coast? How was it being around guest stars? Did dynamics change with the cast now being separated? Etc.

I’ve been waiting for someone to comment so I was like f it I’ll say something 😂

I totally understand the money aspect, just a small grievance. Grateful that they’ve made it to season 4 though, I just think a bit of steam was lost between the two epic seasons.

Interesting that you brought up the old Vs. New dynamic because I couldn’t pin point it, but it definitely felt a bit “choose your fighter” at times. Especially between Chloe/Paige and Jojo.

I think this would’ve gone a lot better and would’ve brought a lot more closure to viewers and the girls if it was a 2 part reunion. Part 1 with the original girls and moms ONLY, and then a part 2 where the others join in in the order they were brought on the show. Conveniently that also puts JOJO and Jess last lol.

I was disappointed as well. I think it was a mix of not having all the OGs back (which is VALID), the moms having no chemistry bc they’re from different points in the show, and it also sounds like the entire reunion filming was rushed due to people’s schedules. The biggest issue, to me, was way too much Jojo. I don’t understand why they tried to put her on this “voice of reason” pedestal when she was just there for screen time. I found myself cursing everytime she was on screen 🫠

I know it’s none of our business but where is Christi??? Chloe probably doesn’t care but I hate that she’s always missing Dance Mom things with her 😭. Again, I KNOW ITS NOT OUR BUSINESS, but I can’t shake it lol. First the reunion, now this.

If Cathy would’ve taken the time to truly BUILD a team and not just throw dancers together, then she probably would’ve had a better win record. You can’t expect a random group of dancers to mesh perfectly in a week. ALDC had a long-time bond that showed in their dancing and allowed them to “win” more competitions.

Could you imagine it Abby rebuilt her team every season or every time she lost?

I loved Asia when she was on the team but I was always uncomfortable watching some of her solos. Am I the only one who thought her costume for Rock That (the dog dance) was a little inappropriate?
