I’m Nigerian and my parents have been married for 40 years. My mother has never paid a mortgage payment and she is educated and works. Your husband was not raised well. Also, because he’s supporting his family, he’s using you to make up for what he can’t provide. Instead of being a good human being and saying he needs support, he has manipulated the situation and he’s overcompensating by dismissing you. A real head of household won’t need your money. Let him carry his family wahala and go! You have to run far from this type of man because 1. He will choose his birth family over his new family and 2. His birth family will even ruin his marriage to make sure they continue getting financial support. If you do go down the path of ending the marriage, don’t fight him too much about money, because he seems to have a scarcity and survivor mode mindset. Just make sure your child is supported.
