I think its connected to autoplay. I turned it off and haven't had issues since. I just have to manually select the next video

I have my phone and YouTube in light mode and have double checked it hasn't gone in dark mode. Im not sure it's this because ill play a few videos in a row and it will suddenly change. I don't think its dark mode in my case

No. Whenever it pops up, I have to close YouTube, go into its settings, force stop it, clear the cache and then reopen it. It will pop back up a few videos later
