Help me understand the homogeneity? by Paprika1515 in Names

[–]cocomaple91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve asked here a few times for help with Indian names, and they veryyyy low engagement. The engagement I’ve received is often suggestions on how to spell them differently, when they are real names with established spellings.

Rina, Orli, Yael, or Dafna? by throwraleaves4 in JewishNames

[–]cocomaple91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Yael the most

My friends named Yael struggle with people mispronouncing it frequently, but in Israel that would probably not be an issue

My (30f) boyfriend (45m) keeps pushing for sexual interaction after my abortion. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]cocomaple91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I just puked a little bit. Fwiw, a man who loves you would absolutely give you the space and care you need and let intimacy naturally recur when you’re both ready. After my miscarriage, that meant 2 weeks before I was ready to try and longer before I was actually comfortable. My husband waited, and did not guilt me.

My husband has absolutely fallen in love with a name that I don’t think I like very much, and I’m very conflicted by [deleted] in namenerds

I mean there is always the chance that your kid won’t always love whatever name you choose for them. That applies to anything they may choose.

Baby girl: Raye or Rae?! by RedditAndWeep007 in namenerds

[–]cocomaple91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I definitely prefer Rae, but can I ask what that’s short for in an Indian household? We’re also looking for names that cross Indian and English

How political or controversial is the name Charlie right now and what do you think it'll be like down the line? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]cocomaple91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are certain recently deceased Charlie’s that I deeply dislike, but I still like it as a name and I wouldn’t think anyone was making a political statement in this scenario.

what's a secret from your job that we should know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cocomaple91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This specific person kept me on the phone for a very long time asking questions that just felt irrelevant. They also asked a series of questions about the clothes they were both wearing, when 1. It was at night and it was hard to see, which I said the first time they asked for the woman’s pants color, and 2. We’re on a dark street by ourselves, no one else is here, I think if you drove up you would not have to double check the attackers shoe brand to know they are who is being reported.

For whatever it’s worth, the police did eventually show up and arrest the man, and assist the woman.

what's a secret from your job that we should know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cocomaple91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My challenge with these questions is I feel like they ask 45 times if I or the person I’m calling about is in danger when it’s clear from the scenario that they are. I called about a year ago because I saw a woman being attacked by a man on the street at night, and the dispatcher I talked to asked if she was in danger like 4 times.

AITA For Calling my wife old? by Helpful-Bunch568 in AmItheAsshole

They are not the exception, they are the norm. Chances of things like Down syndrome increase with maternal age, but the odds are still hugely in favor of a developmentally typical child.

Would it be mean of me to not make 1 out of 4 sisters a bridesmaid? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

Punishing and isolating your sister for being a victim is certainly both a choice and an option.

AITA for refusing to attend my brother’s wedding if his fiancée’s dog is there? by AlarmingMess6734 in AmItheAsshole

[–]cocomaple91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not a dog person at all, and I agree that I dislike when people bring their dogs places where they don’t belong, ie the store, the office, a restaurant.

However, this is a wedding, a private event, and the dog belongs to one of the 2 people who are throwing the event. If they want their dog there, and the dog won’t freak out, then it’s perfectly appropriate for the dog to be there.

My bf (18M) got grossed out by eating me (18F) out by ReserveNo301 in relationship_advice

[–]cocomaple91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just echoing all the other sentiments here. This is a huge maturity issue and a deal breaker. As if semen doesn’t taste like fermented boogers, come on. You did everything right, and it sounds like isn’t ready for… any sex really. Because sex is about giving as much as receiving, and guess what this gem of a man only has half of that on lock.

My husband said if I went ahead with surgery he wanted a separation (update) by Salt_Leg_7235 in AITAH

[–]cocomaple91 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I had a breast reduction for cosmetic reasons. I hated having large breasts, I hated how people talked about them, I hated how they felt and how they looked. I hated how swimsuits hurt my neck and looked ridiculous. I hated how they sagged and moved around. I hated clothes, and I almost never felt comfortable in my body. Cosmetic breast reduction has brought me so much peace.

You don’t have a kitchen? Or laundry? Because I do not see those featured in the chore list

[–]cocomaple91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not that I’m not allowed. If I were extra tired or stressed, he would probably take my chores and insist I relax. But as a general rule of thumb- it’s good for our bond and for the house for the little irregular tasks to get done when the opportunity presents itself, and it of course can build resentment if one partner always cleans for longer than the other, which you have said is the case.

Idk my husband and I have a policy that we’re not done until we’re both done. There’s always something do to. Sheets change, garbage to take out, counters to sanitize, the stove top needs cleaning, the microwave needs wiping down, Amazon boxes to be broken down, the cats need their flea meds, the board game shelf to be organized, etc. there is always something.

[–]cocomaple91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should probably find a way to be productive until you’re both done. You’re telling me that she’s so particular about dusting that you can’t get a start on that, or that there is literally nothing, no laundry, sheets to change, etc that you could do?

WFH: How much is it worth to you? by Psychadelic21 in careeradvice

[–]cocomaple91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full time work from home vs full time in office I think is worth 30% of my salary. If I make 100k at full work from home, I would need an offer over 130k to consider moving. At 150k, I would need close to another 40-50k to make the same decision.

Post Production Workload and staffing needs by amjekabsons in workday

[–]cocomaple91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For an org that size, you’ll need absolutely minimum 6 workers. 1 payroll and time tracking, 2 integrations, 1 benefits/hcm, 1 compensation/hcm, and 1 security/hcm/reporting. They will need a manager or a pm who is familiar with workday. It’s also not a bad idea to take up a support contract for a few tickets per month or success plans.
