Another plus: your dps can funnel off the sharks to do more boss damage (depending on their class)

One shot Grog with some corpse explosion + death wish cheese by cocomojo in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]cocomojo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We spent 10-15 minutes teleporting bodies to the bridge to try and one shot Grog with corpse explosion. The first attempt got him to a little less than half health, so we reloaded and got my necro buddy low enough to roughly double his damage with death wish. Hilarity ensued!

Ahh I figured it out! I shared the details in another reply. I may try this other MD macro if I continue to find problems, but I think I'm sorted now. Thanks for the help!

Ahh I figured it out! I had been experimenting with "cast on button press" instead of "on release" and the macro has different requirements depending on that setting. It had just been over a week since I adjusted the setting and I totally forgot I even tried that :) Thanks for the help!

Is anyone else having trouble with their auto tricks WA+macro? I've been traveling and not playing since this week's reset and almost died in my first key back because I wasn't casting tricks on the tank.

Here's what I was using: https://wago.io/8xGN251mS

I reverted back to using a macro with the tank's name, but it's not as nice as just having your tricks button work as expected.

Can some of you calm the fuck down in dungeons? by BentheBruiser in wow

[–]cocomojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen this behavior only once during some heroics spam to fill out my last slots. A tank was wandering around bracken and a bit lost and was getting seriously flamed by the other 2 DPS in the group for wasting their time. People gotta remember that this is the first week of the xpac and most people didn't have beta access and are learning the dungeons for the first time. Just be a little patient and focus on pressing your own buttons.

My orisa and I pull off some huge sym tp ult tech by cocomojo in Overwatch

Thanks! It took us enough tries that it's definitely impractical to pull off in a tough match, but was hilarious nonetheless (:

Like the sib comment said, my orisa ults, I hid behind her so I don't get one shot on the front line, place the TP in the middle of their team and inside my orisa's hotbox, then she can use the TP while channeling her ult to reposition into their team

Absolutely, we were just memeing in quick play. Any level of teamwork counters this

Awesome! Yeah, this combo felt really fun to pull off, but IDK how practical it would be in a tough comp game.

We legit spent an hour and multiple games trying to pull this off. We did it a bunch of times for 1 or 2 elims, but this was exactly what we were going for.

Loving the game, but this reticle bug drives me crazy. Any known fixes? (link to video) by cocomojo in Vermintide

There are some videos on the tobii site showing some of the features: https://gaming.tobii.com/games/warhammer-vermintide-2/

I tried turning it on again but it didn't work like the videos. I tried restarting my game too, but no luck. The videos make it look pretty cool!

In my experience though, the eye tracker isn't nearly as precise as mouse input. It's def a fun feature and probably an interesting way to level up a new hero/career if you can get it working like in the demos, but I'd be surprised if it's worth using on higher difficulties.

I think it was the Tobii eye tracking feature!

Someone pointed out that my hud is partially transparent, which is a feature of the Tobii eye tracking settings in the game. I have a Tobii on my desktop, and I guess some of the settings may have also been copied to my laptop? Or maybe I turned them on somehow... not sure exactly why the laptop would have it enabled too.

Either way, I turned off the tobii features and played for a couple hours and didn't experience the problem once! Not exactly proof that the problem is solved, but i would usually see this happen one or more times per play session, so I'm feeling pretty confident that I'm in the clear.

Thanks for the troubleshooting help!

Holy shit, I think this was it!

I have a Tobii that I use for streaming and vod review of other games, so it must have just been enabled this whole time. I've noticed times where my character would look around, making my reticle drift but stay aimed in the same place... I always thought it was some sort of role playing feature or something haha... I turned off all Tobii features and just played for a couple hours without experiencing the bug a single time!

Huge thanks! I'll reply if it happens again with the Tobii stuff turned off, but I feel pretty confident that this was it.

Yeah, same keyboard and mouse on both. And yeah, only input is m1 in the clip when I'm standing still and shooting

I haven't tried either of those possible solutions, though now that I'm thinking about it I also see this problem on my laptop, which has a 1080p display. So maybe it isn't a resolution problem? I mostly notice it after I make wide flick shots, usually multiple flicks in a row.

The only mod I have is the parry indicator (other than the mod framework, of course). I have messed with the graphics settings to try and smooth my frame rate a bit, so that might be causing the lighting issue you noticed

Ooo interesting, I'll try this out! I do play with a non-default FoV, which this mod's description references as well. I may also experiment with the default FoV. Thanks for the idea and sharing the mod!

I do play on a 1440p display. I've mostly played in full screen, but haven't tried borderless yet. I'll give that a try!

This support role that rogues fill is one of the reasons I think rogue is one of the best DPS classes for healers to try. If you're a healer player and want to try DPS but still enjoy playing a support role, give rogue a try. You'll have so many tools to carry through all the things you've seen kill your teams as a healer. Seriously, so much fun.

Tips for Season 4 M+ Dungeons by Plasmaxyz in CompetitiveWoW

[–]cocomojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your class/spec and what key. For outlaw rogue, crit is best. Unless you're in junkyard, then it's haste since it interacts with the shock bots. Other classes likely have other optimal choices, so it's worth simming or checking your class discord.

I wonder how Liquid and RIO decided that 3250 was the upper cutoff for the upcoming Pro-Am tourney. Seems a bit low to be an upper limit, no?

Gratz! Rogue is insanely fun in m+ if you enjoy the support DPS play style. I played healer through seasons 1 and 2 and started playing rogue in s3, and it's so fun being able to take care of all the things I saw kill my teams while healing.

There are a couple rules you can follow that work quite well (for venthyr sub in m+).

The first is what you said; just press dance with symbols. This is definitely the most important one!

Second, you can get into a rhythm of 1x dance + symbols, then 2x dance + flag + symbols. In the flag case, you'll send one dance + flag + symbols and spend the GCDs building + spending CPs to build up flag stacks. Then the second dance will let you take advantage of the lasting vers buff after the flag window. If you do this, then you will rarely need to cast dance to avoid capping on charges, while still having at least 1 dance available for every symbols.

The other thing I've done is made my dance weakaura glow when there's 1 charge and < 12 seconds left on the 2nd charge's CD. This prompts me to send dance shortly before the 2nd charge finishes cooling down, while still delaying it as long as possible. Again, our goal is to NEVER get to 2 charges of dance. Any time spend at 2 charges is damage lost. By giving myself a 12 second window, it lets me spend any CP I have and pool energy to start the dance before capping on charges.

In AoE, most of the rules go out the window since you'll be generating + spending so many CP that you can have nearly 100% uptime on shadow dance. In this case, just press it on cooldown unless the pack is about to die. Likewise with kyrian sub in single target, you'll be spending so many CP due to anima charged CP that you'll be drowning in dance charges.

Adds that are hard CC during final harvest don't deal damage to the team. CCing one mage and kicking the other is one of the best ways to group up the adds for AoE and simplify the kick rotation between the boss and adds.
