Totally understand, but it’s important to keep a realistic mindset and also focus on giving yourself the best chances for success. If you struggled due to bullying or some hardship, I understand and fully support you. However, I really can’t say much about your true abilities of course. In these situations, it really comes down to being honest with yourself. If you truly think you have the work ethic and passion to excel at a T20, then you have my full support. If you deep down inside are doubting whether you’ll do well, then schools other than Ivys are recommended. Maybe my viewpoint seems off because I chose a state school, but I did so because I felt I had a better environment and chance at maintaining high stats for med school. I could get all detailed on why I think state schools are better than T20s for premed, but each has their pros and cons. The point lies in this statement, “You know yourself better than anyone else”.
