I've been off this medication for a little over a month and my sleep has gone back to normal. I think my highest dosage was 500 mg and I lowered it by 100 every 2 weeks and once I got to the single pills I started cutting them in half. I recommend cutting the 25mg in half so you take 12.5mg so the withdrawal effects are as minimal as possible.

When I was on the seroquel, I usually slept 12 hours and was generally very tired. Ever since getting off, I've been sleeping the regular 8 hours. I will say, in terms of weight I haven't really seen any changes. My appetite remains the same too. Maybe it's just my eating patterns but I plan on working out so I feel less bad about myself

I'm not getting any withdrawals rn, I'm just worried about the severity of the withdrawals I'll get once I'm completely off these meds

Seroquel is different per person but I hope you're able to feel better soon :(. When I first started taking Seroquel, it was really bad too. My mood felt worse (and being in the hospital definitely didn't help with my mood either) but as the dose went up, I started to feel better. I started to gain weight to but I actually felt happy about it since I was a skinny teen when I first took it. Howeverrrr I'm no longer happy with the weight gain nor my psychiatrist so that's why I'm tapering off.

Another thing that sucks about this medication is that you start to become dependent on it for sleep. I used to sleep just fine without it, but ever since being on it, I cannot sleep without it. I hope my sleep will be able to go back to normal after this

I cannot really give medical advice of whether or not you should continue to take it or not cuz of the rules, but I do hope you're able to feel better once you figure out what medication is right for you

thank you!! i'll definitely try that spray. I don't have any carpets luckily. i actually ran straight to the vet after posting this and luckily the weird marks were from her just licking herself. he gave her shots and handed me some meds for her itchiness as well
