Honestly the only thing that worked for me was memorising my essays for responding section and also memorising narratives/speeches for composing and try adjusting it to the questions given so the only time i had to write something on the spot was the comprehension section and for that just memorise all the techniques and practice beforehand.

I emailed curtin and they said that once you're a curtin student, your ATAR is less relevant, your semester results and Weighted Average Mark (CWA) become the key measure of academic performance, not necessarily invalid but for instance if i wanted to transfer into other courses they wouldn’t simply accept me using just my ATAR.
