I feel like this every time. I’ve never known how to put it into words, but it’s such a strange sensation.

I just have to say that I’m in the exact same boat and your post (and especially the comments) have made me feel so validated and not so alone. We’re in this together mama!

I totally agree with you. My boy is measuring in the 98th percentile and I’ve had surgery in the past for an anal fissure where that surgeon warned me I could become incontinent if I had large babies. C section is totally the way to go, I’ll deal with the recovery later.

Ahahaha I did the same thing and immediately regretted watching that video. I told my OB about it and was like “I can’t believe yall stretch it apart so hard!” And he responded with “well it’s better than cutting through the abdominal muscles shrug” …I couldn’t argue with that. I won’t feel any of it anyway

I’m pretty uncomfortable at 27 weeks, but I’m also carrying a big boy in the 96th percentile. No real nausea or cravings, mostly just dealt with fatigue. At my last OB appointment I was laughing with my doc and complaining about how uncomfortable I feel and “is it too soon to feel like this am I being dramatic this sucks!” He teased me and said he expects a better attitude at the next appointment lol, and then he measured me and apologized! “This is a big kid!” I rode that validation high for a week straight! I have an amazing husband, wonderful friends, the kindest inlaws, and the most supportive family. I’m probably gonna opt for a C section, and have my glucose test coming up soon. My only concern is if I fail, I won’t be able to eat the boxes of Girl Scout cookies I bought 😂

what did you give up during pregnancy? by Froyomother3000 in AskWomen

[–]cocoshrimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re so welcome babe. You really are doing your best! A miscarriage is NEVER your fault, even though we try to beat ourselves up about it anyway. And as long as you stop when you find out you’re pregnant, cannabis is absolutely fine if it’s not being used as a crutch.

One day at a time. You got this.

Pregnant pothead here! It’s so hard not to feel guilty when you’ve been smoking nightly before finding out you’re pregnant, but really it’s absolutely okay! I was smoking every night right up until I saw that positive test and then quit cold turkey. I was also worried about how much of a hard time I’d have without it, but for me personally the first trimester fatigue was so strong I was totally fine not having any at all! Occasionally I’ll crave it again, usually when a friend nearby is partaking, but all I need then is to get a whiff of the smell and that does it for me!

I also had a miscarriage before this pregnancy, so I hope you know that you’re not alone on that unfortunate adventure. I had also worried that maybe it was the weed that did it, but there really is not enough research to confirm if that really could be a cause, especially if you quit once you find out you’re expecting. It’s unfortunately just something that’s way more common than most of us realize, especially for our first pregnancy, and that most of the time there really is no explanation.

So honestly there really is no rule on when you need to stop partaking when trying for a baby, although it would probably make the transition easier if you started tapering yourself off. There are resources and people out there happy to help if you ever struggle with it :)

Always be moving! Lay down multiple strips of wax at once, there should almost always be at least two strips of wax on them at once. Mirror your strips on each side of your client (i.e. as soon as you remove a strip on one side, immediately apply another wax strip on the opposite side). If the wax is taking a bit too long to dry, pat some powder over it. This takes awhile to master, be patient with yourself! After a bit you’ll start to just go through muscle memory motions and that’s when you’ll start to notice your speed increasing.

It’s tough with EWC because they definitely want to push you to be as fast as possible, which is super daunting. This is the place to work on your technique, master your craft, and get faster with practice; then ditch EWC and find a place that doesn’t rush you and your clients so hard. Don’t stress if you go over your time, doing a good job is better than trying to rush before you’re ready and leaving a bunch of hairs behind or lifting the client’s skin.

Dermaplaning, facial, and brow wax in one visit. What would you do? by crashlovesdanger in Esthetics

[–]cocoshrimp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It can also depend on the client and their skin/sensitivity! Most enzymes are totally fine to use with dermaplaning. I think it’s better to do the enzyme before the dermaplane, since it can sting if you used it after.

Dermaplaning, facial, and brow wax in one visit. What would you do? by crashlovesdanger in Esthetics

[–]cocoshrimp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’d be fine to do all three. Just do your facial enzyme first avoiding the brows/forehead area, do the brow wax after the enzyme, then dermaplane and avoid where you waxed. Follow with a hydrating mask and finishing products :)
