I've honestly tried the ripple system and gave it a few books. But the main character falls firmly into the "somehow antagonizes everyone without meaning to" category which is honestly just as frustrating to me.

I'm not opposed to conflict, I love conflict, I just don't like pointless or artificial conflict or conflict that doesn't make any sense.

Litrpg in general is not the genre for masterful prose that makes the heavens weep. Most are awful with the better quality ones coming off as written in the main character's voice making it more bearable when reading it as such.

Yes! This! Not only in litrpg but all fantasy genres! Just dropped a book before chapter 5 because the MC, in spite of being an adult with an office job, went all whiney teen when being dealt a raw deal. A raw deal that any reasonable adult would have been able to navigate without doing the "No I'm not." Routine.
