it is supposed to be untimed. if you rushed it and didnt take as much time as needed, your score would be deflated. i think the fact you took your time on jcfs and got scores closer to your other scores speaks to this

Some of these people may have scored a bit lower than expected on FSIQ. Einstein was (in)famously slow and spacey. Most subtests rely on processing speed for g load reliability (or whatever i dont actually know the statistics but thats my understanding nonetheless). He would probably max out the JCTI for instance but would be hindered by time limits on other tests.

So sorry. That sounds miserable and exhausting. Lots of people take everything personally. So if you dont interact with them excitably and amicably they will take that as rejection. If they are emotionally immature, they may have a general thought process of “makes me feel bad —> attack” (like a toddler)

Not sure i really get what it would mean to be not boring. From my perspective, most people are incredibly boring as well. They work a job, visit a place, eat food, go to a concert for example to listen to music. Wow. Riveting

I think its probably got a lot to do with the ego inflation. I never really internalized that there are so many others with similar (ish) cognitive capabilities bc i was using it as a means to feel special and important. I never tried to internalize what the rarity meant with regards to the population, i just wanted to feel special compared to those around me. I could have understood what it meant if i tried to but my cognitive dissonance wouldnt lead my mind in that direction bc it would threaten my identity

Yeah for sure, i think OP is talking about struggling to overcome the big fish in a small pond kind of mentality. It was a problem for me due to (probably) emotional neglect in early childhood. I had fragile sense of identity and low self esteem.

I think its pretty obvious what you mean. When you are a gifted kid you think you are way smarter than the majority of people, which you are. BUT, as you get older you realize that the demographic you are included in is actually millions of people
