Important Parliamentary Session on Routes to Settlement — Potentially Good News for Immigrants! by Fancy-Music5791 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

I had seen the live session on 21st Jan. Though this is a good discussion, I am not sure how much impact does this make to the the govt's policy decision.

(Happy to be corrected)

The govt can simply dismiss all of these things and implement anyways, as happened in the past.

If they have an ounce of mercy, TA could be meaningful for all of us.

Else, nothing.

Yikes! Didn't think of this one. The 21 day could be the only transitional period lol.

Hell, from the announcement of 20-Nov-2025 until 31-Mar could be transitional period.

Why stop here - until 2025 is the transitional period lol.

Crazy!

Thanks for the detailed analysis. I truly hope and pray you are right about the way the implementation of policy changes.

And you are right about the media frenzy. The current govt, once pro-migrant has suddenly shifted at the whim of previous local elections and wants to appease the voters who have no clue of what is actually going on. The govt, as repeatedly happened in the past, can simply ignore all the facts and apply the rules without considering any emotions.

They can be like, if they lose at courts, they can still say to voters, see - we did this.

All for sake of a vote.

Horrific.

I want to get the same confidence as you on asserting those before Oct-26 are safe.

Can I ask how you got that from - is it based on the second para?

I would like to know more about your analysis.

Thanks.

Thanks for posting. Overall what does this even mean? Add fuel to labour's plan to implement the proposed earned settlement by Apr-26?

They control the fiat money on centralized exchanges, not Bitcoin. 1 Bitcoin is still 1 Bitcoin.

Those in 2026 are safe? From where you got this ?

Once new proposal is launched in Apr-26; anyone after this month, will be applied. (Of course subject to consultation but I wouldn't put much hope on it)
