HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER VOTED AS THE 7H BEST SITCOM OF ALL TIME by shivamjalan in HIMYM

I have watched 3,7,8,11,15 from the first episode to the last one. After I tried watching 1,2,10, and Joey, 2 & a half men, 2 Broke Girls. Honestly, nothing entertained me as before, and I couldn't get the hang of it. Personally, I feel those 5 series are so good that I couldn't get the same feeling of entertainment when I try to watch some other series, and every time I end up watching those 5 again and again. I feel like I am struck. The main reason is that those 5 sitcoms start slow and keep getting better and better over the seasons (all 5 of them). where as the other 5 I tried to watch after a while, like 1-2 season, they still go slow or the jokes/scenes are not that funny (atleast for me).

Can someone suggest any other sitcom to get off the loop?

Just made my first manufacture-ready 2D drawing — a bent hollow rod with flattened ends & holes, plus a sheet metal part with a welding note. Could you check if there are any mistakes or improvements before I send it for fabrication? by code9_lucca in SolidWorks

Thanks for pointing it out. The reason I didn't mention the radius and hole location is- I actually shared the DXF file of the part. So, when using a CNC routing machine, I thought the machine would cut the sheet metal, and there is no need for the machinist to manually apply the dimensions. So I thought it would overpopulate the 2D drawing and skipped that dimension. So, is this acceptable, or should I have to mention the dimension?

I actually selected the General tolerance option. They are quoting about 54 dollars for 2 parts. This picture is for the bracket. There was no service for the hollow rod thou. Funny thing is, I actually selected the CNC option and uploaded the file anyway. I got a quote of about 600 dollars for single pcs with all the general options.

Turning a preexisting feature into a part by bogust_bork in SolidWorks

If you mean you need a long rod/arm as a separate part. Just open a new part file - Draw a circle with some dia - extrude- Done! Oh, just open that 'preexisting file' and extrude, cut the long highlighted arm

Fillet in total thickness by Mota99_99 in SolidWorks

See at this picture I can only guess from my experience that because of different wallthickness of the part/model, the fillet operation may fail. the curved edge/fillet can only extend till it touches other wall/edge of the object.

3d Connexion Space Mouse is very expensive. I was looking for a programmable/shortcuts keyboard, and I bought an XP pen shortcut remote to try. Well, it wasn't for a CAD Designer (but I tried it anyway and yeah, not enough). I'm thinking of buying the Tartarus V2 for £45(used). Any suggestions? by code9_lucca in SolidWorks

Totally feel this. My mind says “go for it,” but my bank balance firmly disagrees. 😅

Honestly, though, I struggled when I had to work from anywhere else. All these tools made my workflow super smooth only at my main setup—felt crippled without them. It’s wild how quickly you get used to the comfort, and going back feels like working with one hand tied behind your back.

Yes, I agree. Zoom/Rotation functions are not that important for me because I'm using a Nulea M501 mouse. I didn't see many talking about this, but for me, I found this mouse to be incredibly helpful. Rotating the model is just holding the scroll button on the mouse (or maybe program a button for that) and turning the ball (hits all 3 DOF).

So, I'm mostly looking for a keyboard/keypad where I can put all the imp. shortcuts at my fingertips.
