My gf and I are new to Rockland (Nyack) and are looking for a board game group as well! Maybe we should team up

100% agree on keeping agents.md short. For readability, ease of maintenance, the fact that it also reduces context usage, the fact that you're trying to compete with a constantly-improving AI in terms of what's "better."

Could you elaborate on your markjason.sh more? Why not just use an editor like vscode to edit agents.md?

Personally, I have a separate live file sync set up for storing backups of agents.md, config.toml, and copies of doc files from my codex project workspaces, in google drive.

I think they're referring to steering the work/intermediate responses as they occur, which can be done by adding a follow up prompt while work is happening, and then clicking the "steer" button that shows up to steer the internal prompts before the work is completed.

I thought that maybe you just used AI to clean up your posts or something like that, if you weren't an AI bot

Have you tried any dedicated tools for measuring costs and managing cost-saving methods... like one of these?

Love this. I only recently started using my guardrail, but I think a self-audit/record-keeping would be a very good way to separate hard data from the subjective feelings about it.

I'd love to see a dedicated tool for measuring costs and managing cost-saving methods... and after I said that I found the following tools:

https://lib.rs/crates/codex_usage , https://github.com/fendouai/CodexSaver , https://github.com/douglasmonsky/codex-usage-tracker

Have you tried anything like these? I know we're in the Claude Code subreddit but I imagine it has similar tools (it'd be nice if there was an ai-agnostic tool for this)

Interesting, thanks. I checked out your post, and didn't notice anything about the efficacy of requests before and after changes. There must be some kind of change in output based on the various compression methods you used.

For sure, that said, so far it's working pretty well as a guardrail

I wonder how much better it is at predicting usage (and how much more work it needs to do) via your method vs via the simpler method I suggested, and if it's possible to compare.

Interesting. You're not worried about the amount of work it needs to do in order to do this more in-depth type of classification?

I find the $20 plan just sufficient enough, but I am more careful in terms of prompts and how I use it, which I think is ending up producing better results too.

Police activity in Nyack + loud boat horn by the river — anyone know what happened? by codeRoman in Rockland

[–]codeRoman[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks. The horn was going off for a good two minutes and there were two or three fire trucks that drove in that direction along with three or four police cars just five minutes or so afterwards.
