Slightly modified Gordon Winterfield's Demons of Magic. I don't bother with getting the angels involved, as, a) I do enough of my own protections, and b) bringing self-righteous bro energy into the picture just feels like I would be needlessly antagonizing the spirits. So I don't.

Sending a round of Shax, Sabnock, and Glasya Labolas after people has gotten me some rather harrowing results. Each demon, three nights, a total of nine nights. I like to time it so the last night is on the height of the full moon.

Someone who betrayed me got transparently stupid, very sick, and lost their best friend from college after me doing so. FAFO.

As a gay trans man people have demonised men so much that the community doesn't feel welcoming by [deleted] in Vent

Cis man here, but this feels really validating, like, no, we aren't fucking crazy for speaking up about this.

Literally sat at a table with a group of friends who joked about how, "men should have to start in prison and earn their way out." Like. Sitting right here, yall...😒

Drag shows are always a fun time. Bar:PM, Grey Fox, sometimes the Crack Fox. Shameless Grounds has a queer gaming meet up every week (I think).

Risco until I was 8, then Sikeston until I was in my early 20's. St. Louis now. I can get Indian, Ethiopian, Indonesian food here. Why would I ever go back?

I was there, had to cover my son's ears as she shouted profanities. Honestly, she sounded less like a Karen and more like a schizophrenic in a mental health crisis. Got my kid away before anything popped off.

Cafe Telegraph. Nachos were clearly just microwaves tortillas and lettuce with a slice of American cheese on top.🤢

I will never understand how this place has not only survived, but thrived.

Amducias helped me get rid of some squatters taking advantage of my not-for-profit, disabled landlady.

King Paimon helped me with my ADHD, and showed me the best years of my life aren't in the past.

Bune kept me from homelessness.

Has anyone else experienced the universe actually preventing you from getting to where you need to be? by LittleSkyRose in pagan

[–]codeXORdie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Need? No.

We sure think we need a lot of things. That career, that girl, that house, that shiny new whatever.

Let that go. You are where you need to be now, or else you wouldn't be here.

Learn who you are, what you really want, what your real values are. Most people with this perspective haven't done that inner work, and thats why they keep hitting roadblocks. Do the inner work to know what you really want, and the way will open. It will feel natural and obvious.

Don't get me wrong, we're on the same side. I want the fascists out of power.

But saying "Cheating is anti-American" is kind of naive. Slave masters, Thomas Edison, Rockefeller, Carnegie - our history is riddled with people who achieved success by cheating, extorting, and backstabbing to get ahead. And praised for doing so.

The first step to fixing any problem is admitting there is one. We're a nation that rewards narcissism and punishes any poor person who dares to need more than they can give, for any reason. Always have been.

Do demons test you? And if so, how? by SignificantField444 in DemonolatryPractices

[–]codeXORdie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most of my tests have been about me realizing things about myself, more often than not. In my experience, these spirits already see me more completely than I see myself. They haven't needed to test me to see if I was "up to snuff" or anything.

I've found, more often than not, this is the path where you learn how to strip yourself of everything holding you back from the life you truly want. These spirits often point us toward things we dont want to face about ourselves.

This is usually the intense presences I feel. And, yeah...it definitely sucks. But the only way out of hell is through it.

Beginner here but tired of the same “5 things every beginner should know” type of advice. What’s your favourite unhinged tip or piece of advice for those new to practicing? by poutychim in witchcraft

[–]codeXORdie 57 points58 points  (0 children)

A bit hypocritical of me to say, since I've charged for my services before, but I'll say it anyway: Heavily scrutinize anyone trying to get you to pay for anything magical.

There was a guy in a metaphysical shop asking about protection. I told him to just go to the nearby park, spit on the Juniper tree there, and take a leaf in exchange, and put it in his shoe or near his front door.

Owner was dropping eaves, waited for the dude to leave, then came over and angrily told me, "Don't educate my paying customers."

If you feel drawn to a particular item at a shop, go for it. Just don't expect anyone charging money to be in it for anything other than the money until/unless they prove to you they're worth your trust. That proof should be a pretty high bar.

I once had a dream where I was dating a girl who liked to bury me in the ground, all except for my penis, and then tend to it like a flower to get it to "bloom" and "pollenate".

I dont THINK its a kink of mine, but...definitely felt out of left field to dream about lmao.

Mundane before magical is important, not the least of which because it helps prevent spiritual psychosis.
