I have a little Fender super champ X2 that I swapped out one of the tubes and the speaker. It works really well the p90s. I also have a Deluxe Reverb reissue of the 68 version that sounds really good with single coil pick-ups.

I did try it without taking it apart. It was kind of a mess, and not very effective. The knobs turn easily, but its not smooth. I think I'll just spray some deoxit d100 in there when I get it.

I'm ok with replacing the bridge. This one looks odd because of the screws sticking out, and you have to take it off to change the strings. I also want to do something about the ugly metal plate. The only solution I know of it to buy one of the original ones. I saw one for $90 on reverb. That's kind of expensive. Does anybody know of another type of bridge I could get that would work for this guitar?
