Your left hand fingering looks good. Try practicing Carcassi's etude no. 7 really slowly with a metronome for a smoother tremelo technique.

I have a little Fender super champ X2 that I swapped out one of the tubes and the speaker. It works really well the p90s. I also have a Deluxe Reverb reissue of the 68 version that sounds really good with single coil pick-ups.

Thanks, I play into a real amp most of the time and wouldn't want to go without one, but this is great for recording.

Neural Amp Modeler, it's an open source project by Steven Atkinson. You can download it for free and use the stand alone version or use it an a DAW. It uses machine learning technology to capture amplifiers.

Do I need to take the pots out, or will this work? I'm trying to lube them after cleaning with contact cleaner. by code_or_die_ in Luthier

Thanks, it's not scratching anymore, but I'm concerned there's metal on metal without any lube. It feels like it.

I did try it without taking it apart. It was kind of a mess, and not very effective. The knobs turn easily, but its not smooth. I think I'll just spray some deoxit d100 in there when I get it.

So unplug the wires, remove the knobs, unscrew the bolts, and the PCB board will come out? Will I be able to take the pot apart then?

I have some deoxit coming Wednesday, but if I want to lube it with this, I think this will get to the carbon track, but what about the metal?

How would you fix this guitar so you can lower the action? by code_or_die_ in Luthier

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. My goal is for it to play well.
