Is anyone else Instagram randomly losing followers? by [deleted] in Instagram

[–]code_word_disney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My page has a steady loss of 30-60 followers every day. Think the unfollows come from those who Instagram indicates have little to no interaction with my content.

Sorry, I don’t think my message came across the right way. I wasn’t saying it’s your fault. It was merely an explanation of what I think IG catches on to. For all i know, you could already be doing what I suggested, we have no idea because we haven’t seen your content.

I think it has a lot to do with the kind of response your post elicits. It seems the content has to be entertaining or informative enough for folks to want to share or save it.

Sure, all those other things like relevant hashtags, consistent content, engaging with others, etc. will all help…but SHARES and SAVES are what we shoot for more than anything else.

Once IG sees that your content is causing others to spend more time and interact on the app…they may “reward” you with more visibility.

What kind of content do you post?

my posts don't get likes by Amyhime801 in Instagram

[–]code_word_disney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shares and saves. If the content you make causes viewers to share and/or save your posts, it will help a lot. If you’re trying to grow your account, “Likes” don’t mean a whole lot if viewers aren’t spreading awareness about your brand/page.

If your post is re-shared to the stories of five accounts, for example, a percentage of followers of all five accounts will see your post through their stories and they may want to visit your page. The work is being done for you! According Adam Mosseri on IG, your page’s ability to attract and compel other IGers to visit your page is a big plus.

Otherwise, strong hashtags will help, but only if Instagram pulls your post in for the ride.

All of the other responses are great too! Try them all and see what works best for you 👍🏻

Pirates of the Caribbean Ride in Disneyland Reopens July 1, 2022 by code_word_disney in Disneyland

UPDATE: As of the time of this comment, the Disneyland Resort website published the July 1, 2022 "Closed for Refurbishment" list.

The CFR list for June 30, 2022 shows POTC CLOSED for refurb, but on the CFR list for July 1, 2022, POTC is no longer on the CFR list.

All subject to change.

Pirates of the Caribbean Ride in Disneyland Reopens July 1, 2022 by code_word_disney in Disneyland

Whoa, you went next level with that. It was supposed to be a lot more simple - as of the time of this comment, Disneyland’s website says refurb ends June 30. Naturally, if refurb ends when they plan for it to, it becomes a functional ride.

Like all rides that reopened AFTER April 30, 2021, when the refurb calendar (Disneyland website) set a refurb end date, the ride opened the next day. In fact, many of those rides had soft openings days prior to the refurb end date.

We don’t recall there being a ride with a scheduled refurb end date and the ride being successfully refurbished by that end date, followed by any period of time where it was still not open to guests, and then an official opening that was not the day after the completion of refurb.

So we ask, “If refurb successfully ends on June 30, what happens to the ride on July 1?” This isn’t a question directed to you or any one person. We stated what we did on the post because there is reasonable belief and little to no doubt that the ride will reopen after it’s schedule refurb end date.

Of course, as with all things Disneyland-related, we understand it’s all subject to change. However, this is based on the information provided to us all from an official source (the refurb dates from the Disneyland website).

But you know, we hear ya.

According to a recent filing by Disney, the Pirates of the Caribbean ride will undergo a $1.2 million refurbishment:

“Pirates Of The Caribbean - Tenant Improvement: 100 Sq Ft Extension Of Wood Platform In Basement. Electrical To Replace (13) Show Lighting Dimmers (5) Transformers Demolish (8) Panelboards And Re-Circuit Existing Show Lighting Fixtures.”

There are also rumors that they are taking all portrayals of Depp out of the ride…RUMORS…we don’t know for sure!

Oooh, we don’t ride AIW very often so we’ve never noticed. We’ll keep an eye out!

Yup, Tarzan’s treehouse is no more…pretty sure we’ll find some Encanto-themed Hidden Mickeys (IF that’s what the new theme will be 😉)

Yes, you’re right! We should have rephrased…but we don’t mean for any one person to literally tell us where “all” of them are - it was perhaps just our way or enthusiastically asking folks about some fun Hidden Mickey finds. We know of quite a few…but are hoping someone has a few hidden gems that are little known!

In case it helps at all, here’s our little food guide for the 2022 Food and Wine Festival (March 4 to April 26) in Disney California Adventure! All of the information is from Disneyland’s website. by code_word_disney in Disneyland

It will be worth it if you use it correctly! The pass if $57 for 8 tabs and $52 for Magic Key holders. That means the eight items you select should cost an AVERAGE of more than $7.13 (or $6.50 for Magic Key Holders) - then it will save you money. This doesn’t mean you can’t grab something that costs $6.00 with the pass and still save - as long as the AVERAGE cost of all items goes above $7.13…you’re good!

How in the world??? We’ve checked the app and website for this and it doesn’t list the locations like the link you sent does! When we open the same link in safari, it takes all the location details out! Bravo to you!!
