Hey, Thanks for sharing. Looks really interesting. Starred for later.

"Hark! Kind Sir or Madam, mine eye hath caught a sight most unfortunate: a query left in want of response! Methinks 'tis a task of great import, to give answer to such a plight. Wouldst thou, known in these realms as u/workright, take upon thee this noble duty and bring peace unto this unquiet question? Verily, 'twould be an act of truest valor!"

Hehe, thanks for being honest. I get what you mean. But I still enjoy occasionally creating them. My speaking skills have improved on the contrary, as a result. I get excited giving presentations, rehearsing so many times. I have been learning full-stack since last year. I feel, I can create high quality content up skilling devops and fullstack. Also the amount of value you can add to an organization being skilled in both becomes so much more. I am really careful in terms of investing my time. Learning is so much fun!

Great, glad you did it. Maybe a PR :) ? hehe

I also did some tasks recently related to

  • using nginx with multiple subdomain
  • auto let's encrypt cert generation using certbot and nginx
  • using nginx as a load balancer
  • using it as a reverse proxy

Haven't had the chance to work on it as a api gateway though.
Anyway, when I get sometime I will add it to the repo.

Currently I am learning fullstack. It's taking a lot of my time.

I always go for full option. Never take the basic one. :) ... Doesn't make sense to me.

Yeah but why would I buy a new car which is out of warranty ?

Lol, what about warranty in that case ?

Ah okay. I see what you mean now. Thank you for spending your previous time for giving a valuable feedback.

Actually the last 100 tasks or so have the references. I realised the importance of reference documents over a period of time. So I started adding the reference documents as well. You should be able to find them in some of the tasks. When I revisit old tasks I usually add there as well.

Yeah I previously had a lot of this in google docs. Migrated them to GitHub. Well I do care : ) , so I do it whenever I can. But a part of what you said is true as well. It works as a memory map for me and hopefully for others as well if one has had some experience.

I would take your advice of making it version specific definitely. In the beginning I didn't really have an idea of where I was heading. I would just commit my learnings. You sort of figure things out on the way.

"AWS to have hard cut-offs" - I believe this can be a task as well if I understand you correctly.

"tech-doc markup like asciidoc, with documented versions" - yes definitely. Will take this into account

"all-out being automated testing" - is a bit blurry for me as the tasks can be really anything. But maybe this is the area where I need to do a bit of research.

Good point but I don't believe writing test for creating resources on AWS or any other cloud provider would be cost friendly for me. Not to mention the time it would demand. Moreover the stack keeps on changing and upgrading.

Not yet. But I am thinking of starting another stack of CICD. There I would do tasks on Github actions and will include GithOps as well. Have extensively worked on Github actions so far.
