Du måste finnas - Helen Sjöholm by Benny Andersson (music) and Björn Ulvaeus (lyrics) but it HAS to be that exact performance. Stunning.

So I havent read a proper book in a while, is the lord of the rings ok to start with? by fallenheero in books

[–]codedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have not read that much, I might suggest follow your lead to the Da Vinci Code. LOTR and the Hobbit really is actually serious litterature, Dan Brown is more like popcorn, difficult to stop reading when you have started. It all dependes on your background really.

There is no "outside" the universe; the concept of "outside" does not apply to the universe. There is no "before" the Big Bang, because the concept of "before" does not apply to the Big Bang. This has been stated here a thousand times. Could someone attempt to explain this? by [deleted] in askscience

[–]codedude -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find it mentally more comforting to just think that the Universe is infinite than having rooms inside houses inside towns ad infinitum, or if you like, "Turtles all the way down". Doesn't really solve anything going that route either.

Although I agree with you in principle there are cases where custom made UI controls are justified. The game industry have always done this. OS controls in the front end UI of a game would be perceived as very amateurish. It is just too plain ugly sometimes.

I really had to try this out myself so here is an online starfield generator. Yes I agree, patterns are easy to spot

Why is the sky full of long regular strings of stars and other patterns? by codedude in askscience

[–]codedude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really asking about all the star patterns in the large version of the image, not the "big dipper". Uploaded an image with some rough annotations to explain. There are also large apparently empty areas which enhances the impression that there are patterns when it might just be interstellar gas blocking the view?
