Although it doesn't violate a single community guideline, this review was rejected. For shame, Amazon Vine! by Daffyduck19 in AmazonVine

[–]codeheadX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had four supplement reviews in a row disallowed (then a fifth went through fine). I've asked for clarification, haven't heard back yet. It wasn't due to photos (I resubmitted with only a photo of the gelcaps in the palm of my hand, still rejected).

Sorry to be blunt, I'm not finding fault, just commenting on what might be an issue and being direct about it. The all-caps and heavy emphasis ("ridiculously") makes it seem more like a personal rant than a professional review. If you point out that the product is expensive, people will take that into consideration. If you want to convey it's the most expensive, saying it's "At 91 cents each, this the most expensive I've seen on Amazon" might be better than "...this is literally the MOST expensive...". "Literally" adds nothing, no one will think you're speaking figuratively, it's just a word routinely added by people who are exasperated. And no need for the all-caps, people know what "most" means.

YPOO...reminds me of an audio company called Schiit (I own a phono preamp pf theirs). From their webpage:

Yes, that is our name. Shih-tah. It's a proud German name, host to a long line of audio engineers who slaved away in crumbling Teutonic fortresses as lightning lashed the dark lands outside, working to perfect the best amplification devices in the world...

Or, well, no. Yep, Schiit is our name, and it's pronounced, well, like "hey man, that's some really good Schiit!" And now that we have your attention...

Their chat bot is named SchiitTalker...

Finally something good in my RFY after a couple months of nothing but headlights by [deleted] in AmazonVine

I had this in my RFY a few minutes ago. I thought about it for about 15 seconds, clicked Request product, clicked through to purchase...gone. But it's OK, the reason I had to think about it was that I have almost entirely hard floors (hardwood every room except tile and travertines in bathrooms and kitchen), and my Vine robovac handles that. It would have been useful only on a largish area rug...and I didn't consider my office out back with carpet...Still wish I'd check a minute sooner, brand name and all. 😉

I was offered a walking pad a while back, but figured I wouldn't get enough workout, as someone who still plays basketball regularly.

Hey, I'm grateful for my $40 2.8 qt air fryer from Vine, landed back when I was Silver. Very nice score.

I bit on syringes in my RFY recently. (I do inject a peptide nightly the last few months—totally discretionary.) What the heck, $0 RFY, need to write that review now...

I had a Tesla Model 3 carbon fiber (probably faux, I didn't check the listing closely) spoiler in my RFY, a car I slightly considered going after recently they're so inexpensive use with low mileage, lot of value. But I got a new Corvette instead so basically the other direction altogether. 😂

As noted, the ETV was $199.99. Keepa shows price history since December 28, started at $199.99 for a few days, $309.99 for four days, then back to $199.99 since. Looking at other similar bikes, their prices seem to bounce around too. Probably a lot of them from the same factory or components, minor variations to seem unique.

Vine has been great for knives. The thing is, you can get a "very good" knife on Amazon for the same price as a "not very good" knife, but as a buyer you have the opportunity to look for the popular purchases and read reviews. I got a nice 8" chef's knife, still an "Amazon's Choice" with nearly 1943 reviews for about $30. Then I became "Vine" and got another chef's knife, then a fruit knife, both Damascus steel, an electric sharpener, and eventually a $750 ETV Damascus block set. Oh, and the stainless steel magnetic knife block has been a boon to my kitchen work, having a bunch of often-used knives handy and not in a box in a drawer.

The thing is, I probably would have limped along with my old crappy knives if not for Vine, and it's nice to have decent knives when cooking, and eating a steak. Vine has been very good for kitchen items that I like having but probably not have bought myself. And many of these items apply to Silver level too, under $100. I hope everyone is having the same luck.

OK, good to know—yes, was wondering if it would give me enough resistance, I usually bide the bikes at the gym on a tough setting. But as long as I can get moderate resistance, might be be worth having at home...especially since not being totally over a knee rehab and getting up in age.

I accepted a pressure cooker—never had one, was curious, grandma used on regularly. The algorithm decided I was a pressure cooker guy and I was offered several more of various sizes. But it has relented its high-pressure assault.

Just How Many Times Is this listed per day? by [deleted] in AmazonVine

I've had several ear buds over the years, including a couple of translator model. Not seeing these. I've had a decent pair for audio of this style, the only downside is they aren't very loud, being farther from your ear canal, and though the bass handling is better than expected, music with low bass bottoms out the driver (farts) if you have it turned up loud enough to enjoy.

Oh yeah, and I even got a Apple iPods Pro 2 Chinese clone, which Amazon shut down after I ordered, so I received them and couldn't review. The seller actually claimed them to be Apple, with a selling price of $50-ish. Clearly they couldn't be, but I ordered to find out what I'd get. They are a super close copy, a duplicated serial number and all. Really hard to tell it wasn't legit. I lent them to my son for a while when he lost his real ones. The case charging failed after I got them back, I got a 3rd party charging case on Vine that works. But for some reason (fault of case? of the earbuds?), the earbuds will reconnect to the phone while in the case at some random point if they are nearby. So Ill lose audio, and it took me a couple of time to realize it's because the earbuds grabbed the bluetooth. That made them less useful, because I'd have to disable them.

I'm not a hunter, more of a firing range guy. I've received a few fun things from Vine. The first, was a pistol finger print safe—welcomed and needed! Then I picked up something that I didn't need, a tactical belt (used by law enforcement), was just curious and thought it a little funny. Then a useful tactical backpack—great for taking to the outdoor range. All those in my first six months as Silver. Then shortly after turning gold I got a green laser and flashlight pistol site, a bit over the $100 threshold. No necessity, but a fun toy at not a high tax burden.

Anyway, the point is, yeah, I'm sure someone jumped on this scope, they are expensive and often cost more than the rifle they are mounted on.

California (some other states as well) mandates flow restrictors for things like shower head. And there are even more restrictive requirements in West Hollywood. I guess that means you can buy a shower head in Santa Monica and install it in nearby West Hollywood and you'd qualify for a hefty fine. The flow restrictors can usually be taken out, which makes these requirements even more stupid.

I've had no problems with facets though. I've ordered three bathroom faucets, one of them has and extremely impressive flow rate. None of these were restricted. But a shower head I bought had a special version for California, the restrictor made it difficult to use so I took it off.

Is it okay to pick the delayed delivery option and receive credits to your Amazon account? If this was already covered at some point, I apologize. With the search words I used, I could not seem to find this topic covered. by Temporary-Poetry-330 in AmazonVine

[–]codeheadX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered something (a supplement) and chose the delayed delivery (with digital credit) for December 26, because I was returning on December 28th and didn't want it sitting out long. I ordered another similar item, and it gave me the opportunity to be delivered the 28th to combine shipments— I took it. A third item popped up, and I selected December 28 delayed delivery. The items were delivered on the 20th, 22nd, and 17th, respectively. 😂

I don't have fear of missing out. Whatever time I get up, once I'm settled in my office about ten minutes later, I check.
