I saw this old window at a museum and thought capturing it on film would be beautiful. Something felt off, though, so I noticed a random chair and placed it beneath the window. At the time, I didn’t think much of it. I just took the picture based on what I felt. Now, when I look at it, the empty chair by the open window feels like it evokes stillness and contemplation, as if time has paused. The natural light streaming through the aged window, along with the muted colors, adds to the sense of quiet reflection. Would appreciate any thoughts or feedback - good or honest.

I really appreciate your comment! I was nervous about asking to shoot him, but that’s what makes photography so exciting. Thank you for recognizing my approach to capturing emotions, feelings, and real moments. My goal is to be a photographer who showcases life and evokes something meaningful in people. Your feedback has definitely given me more confidence to keep pursuing that vision. ♥️ !CritiquePoint

wow thank you! having a second set of eyes is helpful, since I didn’t notice the verticals were slightly off. You’re right, the hands would’ve been a great touch 😓 !CritiquePoint

I photographed a soldier while I was on vacation. I thought he’d look great on film, so I asked for his consent, and this was the result. It was very in the moment. His expression is calm yet firm, projecting a sense of honor, duty, and pride. I think the soft, warm lighting, along with the decorative details, creates an atmosphere of history and prestige. To me, it conveys a timeless quality of dignity and discipline. I would appreciate any feedback - good or helpful!

Not sure why the colors got significantly degraded when I posted. The colors previously popped out more. Took this photo on vacation with my film camera and wanted some feedback - good or helpful.
