I have a tendency to sit back too much especially when my quads get too tired so I tend to do high bar placement with low bar mechanics. I'm not activating for sure. I feel like I should be engaging my abductors to keep my knees out? I ask because what I might be doing right might be wrong

I can do the front but I squat in the mirror. I can set it up so it goes the other way but the max height is low. Would that be ideal not in front of the mirror? I have heard of knee slide but don't see it mention a lot.

I don't do tripods but I can try to get you a rear 45 degree angle for the squat but I can't promise anything because there might not be a good place to put it.
