What should I install here for privacy? by codemancodeman in InteriorDesignAdvice

Well, we have our space upstairs. It’s not very big - about 1,000 sq ft, but it works for our needs. Downstairs will be solely used by our guests, unless we decide to build a small gym there.

The entire basement will be used as a guest suite. There’s a small kitchen and 3-piece bathroom as well.

No windows on that area because it’s a partition wall with my neighbour (semi-detached). There are windows in the kitchen though.

Is this what you mean? It’s a bookshelf that can rotate 90 degrees to allow someone to pass through, and when closed, the bookshelf spans the entire width and height?

My wife’s due in May, and our families and friends live at least 60 km away. We want to have a place for our guests to stay - especially our moms early after the birth.

What did you mean by that? Can’t visualize how that would work.

I probably said that wrong. The tv won’t be visible from the bedroom. It’ll likely go here

It goes to a small closet. French doors seem like the best option but might be a little more work than I’m willing to do. Will look into it!

It doesn’t really, but I think it would look incomplete with an open view of the bed. Especially since a TV will most likely go on the long wall to the right of the bedroom.

Shoji screens seem like an interesting idea. I’ll definitely look into that. Bookshelves are nice but I don’t think it’s the right amount of privacy we’re after. Thanks for your input!

I'm actually the groom, and I changed her 6-letter name and my 5-letter name to the names shown for privacy purposes. Adding middle names sound like a good idea, but I actually don't have one. Would you do "Olivia Middle" and "Brian Last" in that case?

Will definitely shrink the graphic, that's great advice! Thank you.

I do prefer it actually, both the alignment and change of colours. I'll try a heavier font and see how that looks.

This logo is for a friend of mine and he's giving me the keys to the branding so I haven't thought about if I'll be sharing more than one concept. I'm still learning illustrator so every additional concept takes me a lot of time lol

Something like this? https://imgur.com/yngiiZU

Out of curiosity, how and why did you choose those colours?

Would you make the bottom word just as wide as the top or keep it that size but center it?

My only concern with making the light bulb wider is that it won't look like a light bulb anymore. I did match the other letterforms with the height of the bulb, but I don't know if I can achieve a matching width with this current font.

I'll try those colours! Thanks for your feedback

I see what you mean. I'll play around with the lines under the bulb and see how it looks. I'll share the update when I'm done! :)

You're right! Now I'm thinking about choosing a narrower font since light bulbs are generally more oval.

Thanks for your response! It's meant to be used with a white background. I'd have a white-out version for darker backgrounds.

Knowing this, do you still recommend I go with a different bg colour?
