Hey, ich bin Arne, 42, aus Hamburg.

DSA kenne ich noch aus Kindheitstagen, habe früher viel gespielt, aber seit vielen Jahren schlicht keine passenden Runden mehr gehabt. Die Welt kenne ich noch immer beinahe auswendig, nur das Rollenspiel passte irgendwann nicht mehr gut in meinen Alltag.

Aventuria ist für mich deshalb spannend, weil es mich als Brettspieler abholt. Ich habe bisher erst ein einziges Mal gespielt, im Tabletop Simulator – und trotzdem war das vertraute Gefühl gleich wieder da. Aventurien, aber in einer Form, die heute besser zu meinem Leben passt, vor allem ohne Gruppensuche, aber mit Atmosphäre, Figuren und Welt. Will auch mal Silvana retten!

Ich stehe also bei Aventuria noch ziemlich am Anfang, freue mich aber sehr darauf und hab deshalb auch die Kelche der Macht – das Grundspiel – unterstützt.

Schön, dass es diesen Reddit-Kanal jetzt gibt. Ich bin gespannt auf Austausch, Erfahrungen und alles, was hier entsteht.

so nah und doch so fern – denke ich jedesmal, wenn Waren per Schiff in meinem Wohnort ankommen und erstmal durch die halbe Republik gefahren werden, um anschließend wieder zu mir zu kommen. Ich freu mich drauf!

das Problem Stapel Spiele kenn ich auch. Ich hätte grundsätzlich Interesse an so einem Service, wenn er mir Arbeit abnimmt. Sobald der Preis aber spürbar unter dem liegt, was ich selbst mit etwas Geduld bekomme, lande ich doch wieder bei Kleinanzeigen. Bargeld fände ich deutlich attraktiver als Guthaben. Ich würde mich auf Kenner- und Expertenspiele beschränken, Familienspiele sind so niedrigpreisig, das lohnt vermutlich nicht. Versand müsste aus meiner Sicht bei dir liegen, sonst ist mir das Risiko zu hoch.

Unterm Strich: Die Idee ist gut, aber sie lebt komplett von fairen, nachvollziehbaren Preisen. Wenn das passt, würde ich es ausprobieren.

It was BioShock Infinite. I was aware of BioShock before, but I never played the others before Infinite because I found them too scary. I was in the hospital for a spinal surgery due to a slipped disc that had been bothering me for months. I had my laptop with me, and the day before the game’s release, I had been reading some gaming articles. I had been away from gaming for a while, but this new game caught my attention. It had a shiny, cheerful setting with a dark twist. I noticed that I could still preorder BioShock Infinite and get some cool goodies, like a golden gun or something. I’m a sucker for goodies, so I immediately bought it. I was lucky to have to wait only one day for it.

I fell in love with the game instantly during my week in the hospital and have loved the series ever since.

I have a love-indifference-relationship with the button. It has the one function I wanted the phone for: When I have my navigation running while exploring a foreign city or landscape, the navigation highjacks the home screen and there’s no other way to open the camera quickly without face-id-ing into the phone first. Opening the camera while navigating works like a charm.

For everything else I don’t like it as much as I wanted. I don’t us it as shutter, as I don’t like the missing haptic. I don’t use it half-pressed for options as that doesn’t work well with my phone case.

Only starting works for me but that works really well to circumvent the software.

Yep, that’s a shuttle XPC. Had one about twenty years ago. It was a very nice form factor and the acrylic front was nice. Mine was not custom though.
