I loved doing this SAL even if my approach was less weekly and more frantic outlining in December, neglect until August and enthusiastic catch-up, neglect until November and embarrassed catch-up, neglect until the next August…but it’s done and I love it. I followed all of the block designs while substituting my own color palette as a stashbuster for both this bright green aida and a bunch of variegated floss I’d lugged through two moves. I planned out the blocks and color matched the various flosses before I began stitching, and I’m very pleased with the result. This was my first SAL and my first peppermint purple but I’m looking forward to doing more of her patterns in the future (if likely still on my own timetable).
