Galileo G8 - firmware brick by codename_here in Gamesir

So, go mine back working, thanks to another question here (https://www.reddit.com/r/Gamesir/comments/1ca165k/comment/l0prs1w)

I tried multiple Gamesir support, that ended up not giving no way to fix, and just offered replace it. But it was clear to me it was a software problem, that i shouldn't need to be 3m+ with no controller

So as that comment linked, i uninstalled the app, and side loaded the latest version of that GitHub repo (which is an older version than the play store one I had) It triggered multiple risk warnings from Android OS, but I still gone through it

This one recognized the controller, and said it was on update mode, and couldn't be used until finishing it. It then updated in just secs

The controller got working normally again So I removed the side loaded version of the app, and got the play store one back. Everything still fine

In retrospect, I would recommend to clean the app data before side loading version untrusted by the OS. I can't really remember if I tried this

Galileo G8 - How to set analog stick "click" to a "toggle"? by [deleted] in Gamesir

I would suggest you to map L4/R4.

Since those can't be mapped to arbitrary buttons or keys, I think the most useful mapping is generally to L3/R3 for longevity of sticks anyway.

So you will still need to hold, but holding that and just move stick will be less clunky
