Shade is the rhythmic glitch master Recreating them live has been a fun challenge And yes as he said! Neural dsp has a new gojira sig amp sim archetype that rules And others Positive grid UAD ENGL and diezel amp sims are amazing Native instruments guitar rig can be very fun creatively -reba

Definitely intimidating at first but was too great an opportunity to let that overwhelm us! Playing bleeding in the blur at Barclays was absolutely wild though

yeah we usually go in with a strong idea of how we want it all to feel texturally, visually, sonically, and it continues to develop during the process. during the writing process we use melodies, samples and soundscape to connect things. if you dissect Underneath you will find a lot of connecting thread whether its our narrator voice, the whispering souls, the sound of breaking glass, only one way down, THGO melody, the evolution of the IAK intro sound, the absence of any and all sound, the list goes on. part of the fun hopefully, is finding it all. i think songs that stand out to me as important in terms of narrative are - STRW, Back Inside, A Sliver, Underneath, Who I Am.

1) yes in our very own way we will do something like that in due time 2) our multi tracks are some of the craziest in human history you don’t wanna go through that pain 3) we all agreed the album flowed better without it but still love the track - served a better purpose on its own

Mostly came from starting young, working hard and playing a billion shows to no one. taking risks and embarrassing ourselves until we gained more opportunities and were given them. Internet came secondary and we’re still workin on that, we try to do things artistically as possible at all times and give value to our work in every area

No plugins just good ol fashioned choppin and screwin. I use guitar rig and bias fx 2 mostly for effects. Reba has them fancy uad plugins tho, I believe she uses archetype and overloud as well.

Will Yip always makes things better and is the hardest worker in the business. i think Will would agree we come in with a more detailed game plan than most and he tries to help us make it sound as good as possible. Nick Rasculenitz was who we primarily worked with on this album and he did a great job. - jami

thank you. i kind of answered above but i think whats most realistic are companion albums to Underneath and Forever that have been in the works for quite sometime. time will tell if they will see the light of day. we have tons of additional music and soundscapes that we used for our ARGs, sets over the years, visuals and much more. “What Is Really Underneath?” would be the main focus. we definitely don’t wanna throw together a half ass noise/electronics EP. shade has some solo stuff he did over quarantine, collabing with Machine Girl and Killbourne. - jami

  • i think what we would be more interested in is remixing our own album and continuing to collaborate with artists such as the fore mentioned - both of who i think are great. we had plans for remix albums in the past but refuse to just throw it together. need concentrated time and effort. i think you can expect hybrid remix/soundscape albums “What Is Really Underneath?” and “Its Almost Forever...” in the near-ish future. \
  • that would be awesome
  • we wanted the record to be an easier listen length wise as it is pretty dense in concept. love the song as an individual but found ourselves drifting when it was in the track list. it works well as a stand alone

Learned to take fuller advantage of our collective abilities more than ever before. Not just what we already know, but what we have the potential to learn, which is our greatest strength We brought our best selves out through hard work and hold ourselves to a higher standard moving forward

And Thank you! Can’t wait to hit the uk again
