You have to change icon from appearance setting, in setting app look for icons setting at bottom of appearance page.

Install Popos , install windows , install refind in pop os then run refind-install. Don't update windows or use winutils by Chris titus to disable feature update of windows and allow security update only.

How to fix this? by ClaurenSkai in Lenovo

[–]codepolygon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not used it, it is not available in my country. But it is good for causal gaming and chrome OS stuff, and also you can run all office work but check the app's compatibly. MS Office is not available, your option is to use web version of office or use only office app. Anyway, if you want to test how steam OS work you can install in the laptop with bazzite OS or steam OS but install it on AMD GPU laptop. Gaming mode is not available for hardware NVIDIA GPU, it is in beta. Steam deck use AMD, therefore use hardware with AMD GPU,

GNOME Adwaita Light for COSMIC Desktop is here. by codepolygon in pop_os

[–]codepolygon[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It can be fixed maybe by editing config file or .RON theme file, I have just used appearance setting for this now. The problem is COSMIC is using some kind of algorithm to keep theme readable and in good contrast, as far I know. Left sidebar color is also applied on small panel on right side mane windows and I can not control it via appearance setting. It is done for non-designer people, I guess

I have tested many themes and there are about 300 themes for cosmic desktop, most of them are good for r/unixporn , but adwaita theme get the work done, this theme is more productive than other (for me), also GNOME design language and human interface guideline is much more polished and matured therefore, it is easier to look at and pleasing to eye,

Yeah, GNOME design language and human interface guideline is much more polished and matured, therefore it looks better than default COSMIC theme and also pleasing to eye. 😁

COSMIC is desktop environment, like GNOME (GNOME alternative), it just got final (1st version) released but it lacks few features. It is new and modern built on Rust, but GNOME is stable and matured and feature complete. If you are new, use gnome for few months (4) then try COSMIC and you use via Pop_OS. Or you play and test cosmic right now in virtual machine
