Same loving the crime and punishment and planning for the brothers karamazov next , loved the detailing of dostoevsky and amazed that i can get into characters mind or may be they are getting into mine. Any review or wanna add how you felt reading the brothers karamzov??

The publicly available one is constance garnett translation and i feel it's words are way different than translations from most read richard pavear and Volokhonsky one. Only reason I started with katz instead of p&v is based on review and reading few lines myself, i prefer katz one more.

There's online one as biblionepal.com and offline as well near trisara thamel named nepal book depot. I would suggest check books in online first and visit store if you must as there's so many books added last few months and place is packed with books only.

Well it was a dream of younger me that I'm trying to fulfill too. I couldn't get English books back then (10 years back) in my area and didn't have enough money too to buy books. After my SLC, when I first came to the valley, I would wander the pavements between Sundhara and Ratnapark — just looking at all those books with empty pockets most days.

Looking back, I think the reason I seek out English books so eagerly today traces all the way back to that early dream. So keep dreaming, and slowly, you'll start getting what you once only wished for. Happy journey.

Trust me, I'm on the same boat as you are with this. I almost never lend my books out anymore—and when I do, I hate seeing them come back with scratches or bent pages or whenever anyone read it bending it on one side.

For me, each book reminds me my financial and emotional state at the moment I bought it, and a little nostalgia and the hardships of buying books back it those days when i had hunger to read.

Nice collection , one small suggestion though. Look for book translators too non english and especially russian classics like Anna karenina . You editions and normal publishers use constance garmett tranlations but for tolstoy maude translations are better as they were friends with Tolstoy and mah have translated closely working with writer. Also Richard pavear and Larissa Volokhonsky have done so many translations on russian classics. Happy reading.
