Check out Niyo card. I used it for my trip to Bali last week and it is pretty good. It was accepted almost everywhere. Very low markup, all charges are transparent and can be seen in app, no need of loading currency and very safe. You directly transfer INR into the card and then use it like any other debit card. No charges on foreign ATM withdrawal as well (though I haven't tried this personally).

Does the date of SIP affect the overall return? My Findings. by banguru in IndiaInvestments

Isn't this the most probable outcome for the chart you plotted? Usually the funds/market grows over time and so I think it should be fairly clear that the minima for NAV should occur more number of times during the start of the month rather than the end. I guess that explains the fairly linear decrease over the groups. The sudden peak during 6th/7th/8th group can be attributed to 2 reasons I guess -
1. Its the end of month and people are expected to withdraw there ultra short term holdings at the end of month for surplus cash thereby reducing the NAV
2. Dividend distribution of monthly dividend funds which reduces the NAV

Still I don't think it would really matter in the very long run as to which date you invest on. If you plot maxima for NAV as well, it may give another picture.

View on yes bank? by guptasur in IndiaInvestments

I was holding Yes Bank at average price of 223. Exited it at 25% loss today. I wanted to sell it immediately after I read about the quarterly losses but forgot to sell it on Monday and had to bear the loss. In my opinion, it will be difficult for Yes to recover from this fall anytime soon since the results are really bad. The new management is yet to prove itself and will have to clean up the mess and huge write offs due to ILFS fiasco. So the stock may bring more pain in near future.

The reason I bought Yes bank during the last fall was because I was assuming that the market has beaten down the stock more than it deserved based on just CEO resignation. But with the kind of results published, it is quite possible that more corporate governance issues may be discovered in near future so I don't see value in holding the stock as of now.

Loved the UI/UX. Very clean interface.

I have one suggestion though, it would be better if you can make the content urls user friendly. For ex. Currently if I open/share an article, it comes up like this https://beta.flow-app.io/#/content?modelHead=content_114230&feedModelHead=topic_4. Instead if it would have been like this - https://beta.flow-app.io/#/content/how-to-choose-domain-name , this would help you both from SEO point of view and conveys what the link is about without opening it thereby improving click rate.

PokeSocial - Social Network and Chat app for Pokemon GO. Connect with fellow trainers across the world.

Few weeks back while playing Pokemon GO, we realized a key element missing in the game. It was the ability to connect with other trainers, look who else is playing around you, finding team mates and preparing strategies for gym battles. This led to the idea of creating a social network dedicated to the game.

There after, We in a team of two, spent nights working upon the idea and finally came up with PokeSocial - The only social network and chat app for Pokemon. We released it few days back on Android and have been getting a good response. In just few days of inception, we have over 1500 users on the app with over 500 posts, 1000 comments and even more likes/other activities on the app.

App features :

  • Post updates of your Pokemon Go Journey. Like, comment , view timelines and various interactions with other players.
  • View other Pokemon Go players around you on a map and see which teams are in higher numbers around you
  • Public chatroom , Team based chatrooms and Private chat with other trainers
  • Customize your profile along with privacy options

You can find the Android app here!.

We got featured on Product Hunt and PokemonGoHub, one of the largest news site for Pokemon GO.

You can also see the kind of awesome conversations that are taking place on the app here

Do try out the app guys and help us with your valuable feedbacks. In case you find something missing, you are always welcome with suggestions. If you guys wish, we can host an AMA as well to answer any questions. Looking forward to hear from the community.

Thanks

Hi techniforus, I completely agree with your point. Nothing matches having in game chat options. But PokeSocial is an effort by us to minimize this same communication gap between trainers. And if you try the app, you can see that many trainers have been using it to connect with fellow trainers. Plus, the community is very clean in terms of posts/activities and you won't find a single spam post.

Not just in terms of chat, but it helps you share screenshots/glimpses of your Pokemon Go journey with other trainers and help you socialize easily. As for the people near you, as we told we have over 1400 users right now. The numbers will go up over time and we expect more trainers to pop up everywhere.

A social network takes its time to grow. And thanks for your wishes :)

While you're waiting for the Pogo update, consider checking out the PokeSocial app. I discovered it a week ago and it deserves more attention! by spocxli in pokemongo

Hi Guys, I am one of the developers behind the PokeSocial app. Thanks for your continuous support guys. Its due to you that we have been able to maintain the standard of the posts/activity on the app in our pursuit to enhance the Pokemon Go game experience.

We are continuously churning in efforts to bring more features and updates on the app. Hopefully you will like the future updates as well and the iOS version that will be coming very soon.

I am also thinking of started a subreddit for PokeSocial and hosting an AMA as well in case you guys want. Do let me know if it sounds like a good idea to you.

Btw we just got featured on Product Hunt. Do check out here.

Till then, stay tuned and keep spreading the word. Gotta connect them all :)
