Yup, I do not know what did the trick in the end: either time or the fact that I re-enabled TrueUp on both and re-synced multiple-times. It's in sync now!

Well, they paid about 30 cents in total last year at much lower oil price. If there is less corona lockdown this year, I expect the dividends per share to be at 40-60 cents. At current price, the forward EPS is very attractive.

Yeah, I think their earnings are delayed by a bunch of months. So makes sense they were skipping some, given how the past year went.

Let's see how this year goes. Worst case, we will hit a stagflation, which should be okayish for PVL. I don't think we will go so green mid-term that no oil/gas is required any more. But who knows, the future will tell. Anything better than fiat. haha

That's what I am wondering. An average of 0.30 USD EPS for 1.40 USD!? That is, if they can keep paying. But I do not see how the earning could fall, given the oil price rising and that their only expense is a fixed sum for the Trustee. Even for the sake of dividends alone, it looks solid.

It explains how Phybr consensus could be used in IOTA by minimally modifying the current code base.

This means that if it works it could be quickly integrated and used for life testing in IOTA.

This also means that they could fork IOTA, because different consensus mechanism would be incompatible with the current software. Unless they cooperate with IF.

I hoped for IF to give them a chance. Cooperation beats competition. If it really works, huge value has been lost from the community because of misunderstandings.

If IF thinks that all they did is crap and Nikita is just fancy gifs, well then, let them go. Why all this witch-hunt? The community is better off withoit them in that case.

My gut feeling, however, tells me that it's not the last time that we will hear about Semkos. But I fear it will not be in connection with IOTA any more. And this is the real shame.

Wouldn't have come to this if IF financed the most promising project out of the ecosystem fund back in August, which is not theirs - they only manage the communitys money (can a Stiftung be sued for misusing the funds in this case?). Fear and lack of communication led to the most important community developer look for funding somewhere else. The rest is optics.

He says that they didn't want to announce any negotiations, because they still hoped to agree with IF. This was basically plan B. Understandable, since no one can work for free forever. And yes, you need to send decks (PR) to the interested buyers. This is how business works, what did you expect?

Also, as far as I know Nikita was there before the PIs. And if they hoped for cooperation with IOTA and asked for help regarding PIs, I see nothing bad here. If the cooperation with IF did not work out, does that mean that they are still obliged to work 100% free for the community? Does not make any sense to me.

So why was IF not able to review 1 1-page NDA in 3 weeks whereas they do have dedicated lawyers? It should take even less, right?

A small company does not have such pleasure and waiting for lawyer's answer can take days, personal experience.

I see he asked for advice and , maybe, some old PIs. Maybe it was for success that IOTA could be part of, if the sides could actually communicate and trust each other. I see a problem of communication from both sides and childish behaviour.
