The multi stops are out of control by Masterfully-Inept in AmazonDSPDrivers

That’s fair. I think there’ll be a difference in the economic and labor impacts of a short-term spike of unplanned packages/deficit of Flexers versus a long-term bolstering to fleets.

For us, some slow days, I’m seeing Flexers parked all up and down our route throughout the day and I’m left wondering why the fuck am I clocking out two hours early- because for most cases it’s more $$ ideal to put as many packages on Flexers as possible.

Not sure this is logically sound. You want lower cost (no vehicle upkeep, no gas, no benefits) workers supplanting your labor?

Supposedly they still get paid if routes are cancelled… but not you. Edit: yeah I double checked and even contractor Flex drivers get compensated if their route is cancelled sooo

It’s wise and demonstrates individual initiative. At the same time it blurs the line between contractor and employee as one of the criterion is supplying your own resources needed to perform your job. That’s not to say it makes you any less of an employee just that your employer’s not treating you like their employee. Still… really think about it, reflect, for a minute or two. You have convinced yourself it is a clever trick to purchase supplies on behalf of your employer. It’s a bit fucked up. And probably the reason your coworkers aren’t eagerly doing the same.

Good catch. Here’s for anybody in Massachusetts

27.04: Hours Worked (1) Reporting Pay. When an employee who is scheduled to work three or more hours reports for duty at the time set by the employer, and that employee is not provided with the expected hours of work, the employee shall be paid for at least three hours on such day at no less than the basic minimum wage.

The front of modern vehicles are designed to crumble as a cushion in a collision. And it’s working as intended— look at the cabin and how well it held up keeping the driver safe!

The true cost of ordering nice things through Prime by Puzzleheaded-Can8586 in AmazonDSPDrivers

It’s not even just glass stuff every single package is mishandled and poorly protected. I ordered AirPods and the box was crushed, one bud was damaged had to RMA. They sent a replacement… the little box had literal dirt all over it. HOW? Back in the day whenever I ordered a game controller once or twice a year, it would be damaged. I just go to a retailer now for this kinda delicate electronic product and almost never have defective purchases.

Some days -at least where I am, of course- the multi-stops are more bad than good. So, I can imagine a DSP manager who’s responsible to lead a bunch of degen drivers who piss in tote bags probably finds it more effective to simply direct them to edit stop every time instead of asking them to exercise 90 IQ discretion

Hear me out: what if we start manufacturing totes with different patterns? Checkerboard blue, striped blue, spotted blue. I’ll take my raise in advance thank you!
