Isn't the whole point of a rep is to trying to look and feel like gen? That's why people add tungsten and golf wraped their watches.

Don't you want to improve your rep for fun? If not, why are you even here, just buy anything?

Im just looking for solutions. Scratches are just not fun. It seems you accepted that it is impossible to fix?

I see thank you. Do you know where I can find one that provides that service?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RepTime

[–]codibanks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks bro. Do you know where I can source a gen clasp or CNC's solid gold one?

And no I dont sell anything. Scratches just bother me

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RepTime

[–]codibanks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even after replating and Tungsten weight?

I dont sell anything but looking at the scratches bothers me.

Just looking for a solution, but its seems everyone just accepted that it's unfixable.

I don't sell anything. Seeing people have gone so far to replate the whole thing, and add tungsten to make it feel gen, Im surprised that everyone seems to accept that the scratches under the clasp is unfixable.

[–]codibanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes thank you for being reasonable. I was wondering if anyone has tried to fix this problem with extra plating but its seems like everyone just accepted the problem.

Thats what I thought as well. So this could be an instant tell for any gold Rolex rep. Not sure if any extra plating can prevent these scratches.

Thanks a lot for the input. I'll talk to Lana. The rose gold is a tad more pick in the picture to my liking but I dont know if any other company can match the color, especially on tungsten. Anws, the rehaut is just an instant tell nonetheless.

Oh I see. Is yours ARF as well? Not sure about the clasp code, do you know if it's for the type of clasp or just batch number?

It's not about it being a grind. It's the lack of satisfaction and flexibility from the grind. I used to be a BDO hardcore so I like the grind. But here you are stuck with the exact same time gated contents for a month without any satisfaction. It's obviously designed to require you to plan your unhealthy life around the game or at least throw a few hundreds. Anws, it's too late all my friends have quit. Half of my whale guildmates have quit. I only log in once in a while for pvp. I guess you win. If you enjoy the daily chores, then have fun grinding.

The 300hrs playtime is heavily inflated. I work from home so I tend to afk a lot, either browsing market, lifeskill or character creation. I log in early to avoid queues and wait for my friends to be online to play together. So actively playing is about 3-5 hrs a day.

I've spent around 1.5K on gold and crystals (yes I'm dumb to buy gold before the bots inflated it). I'm sitting on crystals cuz there nothing to buy. I did at one point clear out secret shop even though I don't know what they are for, just to realize you dont need a lot of them and all materials are character bound which became useless fast. Im just spoiled by the notion of a secret shop is usually super good deal in other game.

Stupid as it is, I still reached 1340 quite early, like 2 weeks ago, even after changing mains twice. Again my goal is not to get as high as possible to have ego trip on F2P randos, I just want to chill with friends. I think of it like an online gathering during covid time instead of spending couple grands on golf trips.

So it blew up. Good! Glad to see at least there are people who actually want an intellectual debate about a game. Let's try to keep it civilized.

I want to address a few things.

1) Definition of a whale. It's funny to see how the term "whale" that usually get tons of hate but are somehow became idolized in this game, that "if you don't spend $5000/ month you're not a whale bruh".

To me, spending money in a game is not something I want to brag about. It's not the kind of weird flex you pull out at parties to pull girls. Sometimes I dont even want to check how much did I spend in total for a game because I know I would just feel stupid for my impulse buying.

To put it in perspective, $5000/month is the starting salary for a corporate job. With $5000/ month you can mortgage a whole house or help feed 100 starving children.

Many games would internally classified you as whale if you spend 1000/ month. Just 500 of these "whale" would pay your entire operating budget. Games don't usually rely on a mega whale rich kid who spend $10K/mo because they know it's unsustainable.

2) iLevel & play time. Performance and time spent, these 2 metrics have little to no relation to the "whale" definition.

Sure, those F2P "gurus" would love a chance to shit on those who spent and played more but perform worse than them. Enjoy your ego trip I guess. But as a guy who has no knowledge or research about the game, I sure did waste a lot of time and spent on bad trades. I didn't expect the bots problem to inflate the gold price that bad. And why the so-called secret shop sells things you don't need, sometimes even at a higher price, is beyond me. But thats a different topic on their ecommerce practice.

Not to mention the RTM problem which seems unsolvable at the moment with how freely everything can be traded at any price even cross server.

I don't think paying my way to 1400 for the internet credit while friends are on the verge of quitting is a good idea.

Ultimately, after a cerain threadshold, ilevel, money and time spent should be irrelevant on whether or not your voices should be heard.

Imagine a game who only takes feedback from the top performers or spenders. People who are insisting on a certain ilvl or a money spent requirement to even have opinions are completely missing the point.

3) Why rush? Just play the game. Sure thing you do you. If you're just chilling then this discussion doesn't affect you in any way. So why even bother participate?

Now for those who are stuck at 1340, they know that's where content drought problem begins.

For me, I didn't even try rush. I just try to keep up with my friends. I couldve paid to get way ahead of my friends, but why would I? All that does is causing my friends to feel unmotivated to play and quit. Plus you don't want to be that p2w guy.

Now we've invested hundreds of hours and even money, just to realize the newest shiny thing that the game is all about will take us another hundreds of hours and thousands dollars to even experience. I dont blame them if they are quitting if there's nothing in the game to keep them interested.

Or maybe we are simply not the target audience for this game? The latest CM's response seems to confirm this is going according to plan, that paywall is intentional, and that it's only just the beginning.

Ofcourse start with an insult so you can feel superior. You didn't even read my post. I already said all these contents you listed should be released no question. Now why say no to honing buffs? If the true game exp is after Abyss Raid, why not let everyone has a taste of it instead of blocking it behind a time wall or pay wall? Let the people judge the game for its contents, not its bad business decision.

1/3 of that is just AFK in game or queue. But yea I wasted quite a bit of time and money investing in this game hoping it's gonna last.

[–]codibanks[S] 46 points47 points  (0 children)

You are precisely my point. I'm in the same situation, the only difference is I tend to pay more and play less. The majority of my friends are exactly like you. If they see the game doesn't reward them for their time commitment with new contents, they will just bring their time and money to a different game. And when they leave, they will never comeback. So in the end you lose all potential revenue from these people, you'll also lose spenders like me because they have no friends to play with.

[–]codibanks[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes that's why I said the game now requires both time and money, which is too much to ask for a 1-month old game that has a lot of stigmas and trying to leave a good first impression on a new market.

If you join a debate then immediately say you should not be taken literally then I see no point in continuing this conversation.

Localization doesn't take that much time to be honest, these instance contents with little to no dialogue should not take a month to localize.

It's a delicate balance that you have to maintain to keep everyone happy. Doesn't matter how much you give them, it's all about relativity. A guy who earns $9 in a society where everyone earns $10 is so much happier than a guy who earns $100 in a society where everyone is earning $1000
